This was the second corvette I did last week.

The first one was a C4 supercharged corvette, and was pressed for time. So no pics were taken of it.

The '67 and this '63 were built in the same place.

Came from the paint booth just three weeks ago. Then the body shop monkeys got a hold of it.

Let's just say this was not fun....

Had to wet sand the door jams. Since they left tape edges.

All trim was taped off, and between every body seam.

Flex 3401 and a yellow Wolfgang pad. WG Total Swirl Remover 3.0

Flex 3401 and a white CCS pad. WG Finishing Glaze 3.0

DeWalt and System one 4.5 pad and Meg's 105 on the door jams

I wanted to top it with the new 3.0 WG DGPS but it was raining. And the vehicle would have gotten wet. While being loaded on to the trailer. So I went with 4*Ultimate Spray Wax Plus with Polycharger.

Sorry for the inside pics, it was raining out.

It has a LS6 under the hood.

Excellent work !!
Which LS motor in this one ? What do these guys get to do up one of these beauties ?

Outstanding detail Ed! '63 split window vette's are classic.
The wheels looks way out of place to me, too modern for that model.
jmo:)

The LS6 motor is what's in the C6 corvette. 2005 model and up have this engine. Except the Zo6 they have the LS7.
Prices start in the mid 80K for basic. This one was loaded, back up sensor's and camera. Nav system, and alot more.

Ed you're thinking of the LS2....the LS6 came in '01-04 Z06s, the LS2 comes in the 2005-2007 C6, and LS3 in the 2008-up. GM and their confusing numbers...:D

That car looks sweet....I love the color. Not feeling the wheels, but still a beautiful car and great work as usual! Keep it up!

Like Jimmie said "over-the-top wet"...He hit the nail on the head!:applause:Ed fix's the monkey!:D

Thanks Matt, for clearing that up. GM has so many LS names, it is hard to get it right.

Great job Ed. How did you correct the wet sanding on the door jams with a dewalt and 4.5" pads? How do you get into the right angles?

I have to agree about the wheels, they just don't look right on that beautiful Vette.

It took a few minutes , started with the wool side to remove the sanding marks. Then switched to the polish side, and polished it out. Lucky it was more rounded edges, then right angles.

Got to agree those wheels just kill the whole vibe of the car for me. Also something about that interior, just not a fan...

The big question, how'd it sound, or did they even fire it up?

That car is simply beautiful (minus the wheels). Very nice work on it.
