I finally get my own car back tomorrow!!! :D

Looks great! I need to run down to Florida and take some of these classes.

Really did the LGM work well for you on the interior? No hot water extractor yet? I am very on the fence about getting a LGM until I can spring for a HWE

Great work rasky.. I'm with everyone else above, you're work never fails to amaze me... Awesome job!!!

Thanks! Mike's classes are well worth the trip! :xyxthumbs:

I've never had a car I couldn't get clean with the LGM, but I'm also using a carpet brush and Shop-vac in conjunction with it. :props:

That being said, I still want a Mytee or Aztec.

Thanks Dom!

Wow that was an amazing job. and I just love the reflection of the sky and clouds in your outside shot. What would you charge a customer for a job like that?

***Let me first start by saying that this car underwent a full repaint and that this is NOT something I recommend you do on a factory painted car to remove orange peel.***

What would you recommend for a customer who wanted to remove the orange peel on their new car?
Again that was one hell of an achievement. You do really great work.

Repaint, or learn to live with it. There is just not enough clear on factory painted cars to safely wet sand the finish smooth. That's not to say it can't be done, but it's definitely not worth the risk. Even if you were to do it without a strike through, you would have so little clear left that you would be in risk of clear coat failure, and you also wouldn't have much clear left for future corrections. ;)

On jobs like this I charge an hourly rate.

Thanks BTW! :)

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Now I understand why it seems that most new cars have orange peel in the paint that is left uncorrected.

Personally I think the car manufactures want orange peel in the paint as it helps hide imperfections in the body panels.

Have you ever closely look down the side of a vehicle, like a GMC Yukon? The panels definitely are not straight! Paint that is free of orange peel shows things like this a lot more, door dings too!

Just my $.02 though. ;)

Wow, I really need to learn how to wet sand with the DA, great looking car bud.
