Got some new shoes

Thank you Gary, funny that you should mention taking off the wheels. Just took them off before getting the new ones with an oem crank jack and I busted my ass. Going shopping for a low profile aluminum jack soon.

A nice floor jack is a good investment. I pull the wheels off all my cars at least twice a year and give the wheels, wells and calipers a good detail. I have been doing the Z06 this week. I have one more wheel to finish up today. When I put a car up on jack stands I like to use 2 floor jacks so I can jack both sides of the front or back up evenly.

Yea, I agree. And you have a nice selection. In fact, I just bought the smaller one on the right from harbor freight (w/coupon) for $59. It seems excellent for the occasional wheel change, etc.. Very light, compact and as you said, low profile. I think it was a bargain and, I missed their parking lot sale when I could have had it for ~$48. That would have been a real deal.

My other jack is a Walker, American-made all steel monster. About 25+ yrs. old, still nearly perfect....but sadly, the mfr. doesn't exist anymore. That's for the heavy use applications. The little one will replace it when just lifting a corner.

Stock up.......coupons for HF abound in Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Autoweek, Popular Mechanics, et. al. plus even got one from USA Today. That one yielded an $8 heat gun (it's fine) and free 25ft. tape measure (work just fine, as well).

Good luck w/the wheels. Buy some floor jacks. :)

See ya.

Wish I had a garage like yours Gary, but only a small storage room and can barely fit anymore detailing supplies less tools. I do have 2 jack stands, now just need to find a small light weight jack. Maybe my wife will let me put the jack in the living room and use it as a foot stool. It's adjustable.

I guess that's a small price you pay for living in Hawaii. A few months back a spent a lot of time fixing drywall, painting, adding additional lighting and straightening up the garage in the picture. My other garage is a disaster. With all the junk in there it’s hard to get to a car or find anything. Part of the price for living in Florida is there are no basements so a lot of junk ends up in the garage.

The adjustable foot stool sounds like a good idea. Just don't tell the wife it's a floor jack for your car.:props:

Too much tire, too little rim, and the design of the rim is ugly. Sorry, just my opinion. I like the God Speed part, though. :)

Dude, do your glasses need cleaned? Those shoes are beauuuutiful!!! IMO...

I know I recently came across a site that does custom centers. The Infiniti symbol would be a choice. I think its the white background, they should have gone black or carbon.

Are these supposed to be winter wheels? Because the deep dish and the high profile tires make them look like 16" wheels. The colossal ride height simply makes things worse.

Read post #26... I only have one question; when you live in Hawaii as does Rsurfer what is winter??
