Any advise on a great QD. I looking for great gloss and hoping not to buff to long or leave steaks or film. Thanks.

Lucas Slick Mist Detail Spray. The biggest hidden gem in QD. You can find it at Pep Boys.

DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss is also great

i've only heard of the FK stuff; haven't felt the need to try anything more than Optimum :shrugs:

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Quick Detail Spray, opt quick detailer, spray detailer, waterless wash, instant detail spray

this stuff is absolutely incredible. super slick, no solvents and no smearing/streaks for me. i use it when drying the car off after a wash; it's great for that esp if you are going with the recommended 3:1. and for $20, the 32oz concentrate at 3 or 4:1 will offer you full bottles of spray for quite a while. i recommend using distilled water for the mix.

stuff is awesome.

I've used Pinnacle Crystal Mist and it was OK, same with Adams detail spray, nice smell and its pretty good, too.

My favorite is Optimum. Super slick finish and a little goes a long way.

I like to use the Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detail Spray.

FK425 or Red Mist are my 2 preferred QD's right now. 425 is much better priced however and gets the call most of the time.

Re: Recommend a Quick Detail Spray.

:iagree: Optimum is now the main part of my detailing. Optimum is an AWESOME product.

WOn some DP Final Gloss a month or so ago. . Like it so far. Finishes with a slick and really nice shine and reflections. I am a QD junkie. I have and like all these.... Poorboys Spray and Gloss, Meguiars Final Touch,Poorbopys Spray and Wipe, DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss are a few of my favorites.

Red Mist -> OID -> FK425 (LOVE to love)

I love all 3 of the ODs I use after washing but just use them depending on what wax I have on the car and what I want to do that wash.

I guess I'm different.... which is OK!

I've tried a few instant detailers and I have found zero fault with Meguiars Last Touch from their Detailer lineup. Currently $18.99 for a Gal here on AG, it can be diluted 50/50 with water for claying and some have reported it works equally well as a QD in the 50/50 dilution and I have even read of it being used as rinseless wash with great success. I did try it as a wash and while it worked fine, I just like ONR better for those rinseless washes. As a detailer/clay lube, I love the price, I love the coconut smell and I love the looks when I use it as the Last Touch.:D

Regards

Christian

Had an opportunity to use the FK425 I just purchased from AG. It works just as others have described! I Love it. Glad I got he gallon refill... lol

I also really like the Optimum QD. Can't go wrong with either one if you want slickness and no streaking.

In all honesty, which of the two do you like better?

Thanks for all the responses.

I want some opinions on a problem I'm having. There seems to be an oily film on my car. It's black, so when the sun hits it just right you can see it. You can wipe off or buff out most of the film. I can't determine if it's the quick detailer or the 2 coats of NXT 2.0 I put on 2 weeks ago. I have heard that NXT is somewhat oily. I think it might be the NXT. Will washing remove the oil?
