Shamrocks Don't Rock

Anyone experienced this issue with the Shamrocks that have a black border on them??? This shed issue was solved with Shamrock verion II? Feed back please
I just used the black border ones today, still a lot of shedding.

What's considered the newer version? I just received some with the black band about a month ago. They shed the same as the older version with no black band.

Mine are the same ones UncleStu described; all green without a border, just green stitching. Sorry to hear your black bordered ones are linting. I'd assume you are washing them specifically with MF restorer, drying them on low heat, and using them sowly. If not, that might be the problem.

I have had absolutely no shedding from my Supreme 530's, and they are my favorite towel in my arsenal right now (I only have about 8 or 9 different kinds of MF, still building in that area.)

After all of this, I just had to try the 530s I recently got. LOVED IT!!! Granted, it was a limited test - just my hood - but there wasn't any lint left behind! This weekend is supposed to be pretty, so I'll give it the full car test. For right now, though, I'm very happy with this one!Im the MAN

Will there be any official courses of action regarding this linting problem? Stu is not the only one with problems...

I own a dozen Shamrocks - Prewashed all of them 3 times prior to using. I still get some linting Primarily with Quick Detail Sprays. I use them primarily to dry the hood venting with deep groves because the longer fibers get down there easy and really absorb the water. I have not used the black bordered ones personally but talked with several other shops that have and all stated the Linting is equally as bad. There is another Thicker / Heavier towel available from another site that is turquiose. It also has the same linting properties. I know it is not what I am putting on it, using it for or the care of it that is causing the linting. Not really not sure what the solution would be. The light linting is still not a deal breaker for me. If I was offered a refund I would probably hold onto atleast have of the ones I have because they do fill some unique purposes as stated above.

I have found that the new version with the black border still lint, but no where near the original version. I also pre-wash all my microfibers, with a second rinse cycle. It is weird that some have worse issues then others.

It now is obvious that there is in fact a problem with the original version of the Shamrock m/f towels. The question now is do you exchange your original version 1 Shamrocks with the new version 2 Shamrock and possibly still have the same linting problem. Or do you seek to exchange your version 1 Shamrocks with a different m/f towel altogether.
What are your feelings about the lavender 600's, the gray 530's or the blue miracle m/f towels? I have some of the smaller 600jr's and I have not had any problems with them.
I will pose this same question in a new thread so that we may get a consensus of opinions. As I seem to have opened Pandora's box all that I can say is that I am sorry to see that there are so many people experiencing the same problem as myself. Let us all be thankful that this problem occured to us here at AG where customer satisfaction is king.

I have both versions, they both lint the same.

I, too thought it was me. All but a couple of my Shamrock M/F are still in the bag they came in. I washed a couple of them before I used them but even then they leave so much lint I've quit using them. Not typical of AG M/F's...:iagree:

Nvm... you guys are right. They do lint.... but it really does not bother me? I just blow them off afterwards.

That is what I do. As all of us enjoy detailing vehicles, if we see a problem, we always find a way to solve them.

I have used the Cobra 600's and they are amazing. No lint, very soft and have both a large and small nap side, so you can determine what you need the towel to do. I have not tried the 530's, but would imagine they are very similar from a review I read from Mike Philips a while back.

I am sorry to hear that the LUCK OF THE IRISH in fact is not shining upon you.
As it has been said, "misery loves company".
So jump on board the wagon and enjoy the ride of the green mile express. LOLIm the MAN

We are currently looking into this matter with the issues brought up. In the mean time we have taken the Shamrock off the site so we can further look into this. If you have Shamrocks that you are having trouble with just give us a call and we will take care of you.
Thank you

....any chance of doing something for us here in Malaysia. I did a group buy for 2 dozens of the green stitched border ones a while ago (whilst taking advantage of BOGO), with half of it for myself and the rest shared by a few others. They do shed/lint quite a bit especially, I noticed, when used with/for something watery like qd or final drying/wipe right after using my guzzler. And it's still happening after countless of washes (of the mf). No linting when used dry, as in, for example, final wipe after removing waxes/sealants (I LOVE removing wax/sealant with the 530s).

The other thing I noticed is, after washing them and hand-wring dry, the cloth would get permanently 'distorted' (don't know the right word for it) or be 'elongated' and came out not the same shape when they went in/before wash.

I have not noticed anything unusual like linting with my 530's. I have been using with ONR but it sure soak up a lot of liquid (that is usually a good thing) but gets somewhat ungainly.

For anyone interested an old fashioned Irish wake will be held later this week when the new Super Plush Deluxe 600's arrive. At which time my Shamrocks will take their final walk down the green mile where they will be then consigned to my wash bucket and their green dust will be scattered to the wind one last time.C:cry:Cobra Shamrocks R.I.P. 12/02/2009 __________________

I have 6 of the black border ones. Have washed them 10 plus times and they still lint terribly bad. Also own several other cobra towels and have noticed less linting with them.
