Can you link or list what's in a forum fav kit. Not everybody knows all the kits listed. (There are a ton.)

If the kit I posted was correct, then one thing you might want to add is a SMR or Swirl Mark Remover for use with the pads and the PC.

The kit you bought is mostly protection ingredients. The Klasse AIO is cleaner/wax so it does offer some cleaning ability and you can apply it with the PC but it's not a intended to go after any serious swirls and scratches.

Shoes Tazz, buy the boy some shoes
 Good one John!

That sounds like a reasonable start-up kit. You might want to add a mid range polish though...M205 can be used with an orange, white, or even black pad with more and less cutting power - you could remove some swirls that the KAIO wouldn't this way.

anyone experience with these? ease of use remember new at this XMT Swirl Remover Bundle, XMT polishes, Pinnacle XMT compounds

The #4 is one of the most aggressive products I've ever used, it's a true mechanical abrasive compound and it cuts very fast but it also leaves swirls that you must remove with follow up polishing, thus the #3 #2 #1 products.

I actually have always shyed away from products like the #4 XMT but after learning how fast it cuts and how easy the swirls it leaves behind are to remove I kind of like it anytime I have some defects I want gone yesterday.

It's a good system, just remember if you use the #4 and even the #3 you need to use one of the less aggressive products, (#2 or #1), as a follow-up.

On a side note, the #4 works great for removing oxidation of old gel-coat boats...

The Meg's kit is a good one - but the M105/205 definitely have a learning curve.

the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and the Finishing Glaze 3.0 worked grate for my first time with a pc. i think it is still on sale right now to. wolfgang duo

Also, if you got the pad kit, if you don't like taking time to clean pads during a detail, have at least 4 of each pad you use.

That way you can switch without worrying about having enough pads.
