Do I need to apply any pressure with this or can I just move it over the paint?

Apply a little pressure. You don't need to lean into it.

85rd is still a polish and needs to broken down. So, moderate pressure and finish down with light pressure.

Menzerna products will all show the level of cutting power on the side of the bottle. Use the chart as a means to determine how to work the product.

As Louie and dad have said use pressure at first then just work the crap out of the polish.

How many section passes would you recommend? And when I say section I mean

= 1 section pass

Is it even worth using on silver (lighter side) paint? I have pretty good depth right now after using 205. After going 105, then 205, Im pretty burned out of polishing lol. Is it really going to be THAT noticable or should I not worry about it?

It makes a difference on any color.

That sure is a big area for what you call 1 section.

I didn't mean anything by how many rows I showed I was just trying to show that by section I meant back and forth but not coming back with the up and down yet.

I have never done passes without going up and down after going from left to right. Why would anyone make 3 passes from left to right without going up and down or doing it after the first 3 passes? It should be side to side and up and down.

Yes, I understand and do the same thing. Sorry for the confusion. The key word from my post being yet. I wasn't sure if some people consider going back and forth as 1 section pass and then up and down as the next section pass so I was just defining it as back and forth to make sure we were saying the same thing. Of course up and down would have been the next "pass". I think I just made it more confusing instead...

At this point it would all come down to preference. Most likely you wouldn't notice any more depth than you already have.

I have silver metallic and I personally wouldn't use 85rd after 205.

I agree with you 100% 07 z-oh-6 - The only reason I can think of where you'd need to use 85rd after 205 is when you've used 205 with a cutting pad and there's hazing/halos on the surface.
