Just wondering after I watched this video...
Could this possible damage paint if used as a pre-wash?

Hopefully Bill Walsh will chime in with his opinion. I would love to see close ups of the black paint after they steamed it and used the same rag to wipe down the whole car.

SRHTX uses a VX5000 I believe...he swears by it.

I bet if you used pressurized steam with an ONR wash you would get great results.

This was recommended to me. I am heavily considering this along with an ozone machine and hot water extractor.

that optimum steamer is very costly and i would not try and use my vx5000 steamer to wash car would take forever o get job done thre are others out there for use in car washing with steam

I had a feeling you would show up! As soon as I read the title, you were the first person in mind!

I don't find my steamer to be time effective to do anything other than interiors.

i have used mine for cleaning rubber door gaskets door jams door hinges wiper clowes

Depends on your needs, for me, I'd love to have that steamer. The steamer I use now, works ok for the exterior, but is designed more for the interior.

I like the idea of the siphon fed adapter on the end of the steamer. I would be interested in how diluted cleaners or sealants would work using this type of a set up.

They sell less expensive alternatives. the dela here is pressure. I personally feel anything less than 100psi is probably best left for interiors. I've used the optima steamer and it was a great machine. Did what It promised, but is pricey. If you got 6k to spend I don't think you would regret it in the long run.

Looks interesting, but why are these so called wonder products always demonstrated on already cleaned cars.

If they want to impress me, show me a car that's covered with road salt from a recent snow storm using the wonder product.

I like the fact that they show the steamer being used on a dirty car, unlike some of the other wonder tools out there, which shows true practical use. However, I'd like to have seen a close up of the paint surface after the hot water bath, but before wiping started, to really see how clean it got the paint surface. For me, I'd probably use it to get the grime off and stop at that point (i.e. no wiping with rags). I would use this in my garage. I can see how this tool could used to make money.

I hope this is the guys personal car because around the 2:44 mark he picked up a rag directly from the ground and starting wiping that door - a scary scene if I were the owner of the car, however, I've seen worse at the local car wash though. If it were my business, I would not show this on a video.
