Hey Asphalt Rocket, no way!!!!!

Mike I know what you are going through. I am a huge forum junkie and Admin'ed a forum with 40k members, with almost 25k of them active for over 3 years. Its a pain when you have to step into an argument that started over petty things.

Hell after reading that thread it amazed me at both ends. I ask alot of dumb questions on here that can bring tons of good insight and information from many different people. Unless you have been doing this for 20+ years like some people on here, then you dont know everything. Hell even at my 5 years worth of knowledge I am learning something new everytime I click on here.

I try to learn something new everyday... with technology changing faster than we can keep up with it there's no way for anyone to ever know it all...

As for forums...

I wrote a memo a few years ago, well it was supposed to be a memo, I think it was a report instead.... :D

The point was that in the future potential employees would have to have forum experience and forum skills in order to be competitive in the job market.

Now we're going off topic...

:)

wow ... and I thought the drama couldnt get any deeper lately. Glad I missed this one and Mike interviened.

I am going to tell all what I have told to many thru PM's so it should be no secret. We all come from different environments, we have different teachings, and different believes. When we come to a forum it should be to help those in need and to learn as possible from others. It takes some time to move between the who's/how's but real good techniques and processes will appear time and again. Nobodys thirst for knowledge should ever be quelled, but nutured.

I prefer each to respect each other, and if issue take it offline. If it cannot be resolved (it often does with a phone call, or couple of deeper emails), then ask us to moderate as needed. The keyboard is a mighty sword so respect it and its use. Every member is respected and friendships can blossom over time too.

I knew that would get your attention! haha

I decided to take it to PM's with Dana after another disagreement I had with him tonight. This isn't the first as I'm sure most of you are aware of. I should have took it to PM's right away. Anyhow, we exchanged quite a few PM's, and after having some good discussion with him, he's a pretty intelligent guy. I'm sure most of you never doubted that. I got to know a little bit about him as a person and not just a detailer. I have posted aggression towards him, truly thinking he means no good, but I now firmly believe he really wants to share his vast detailing knowledge with everyone. I wanted to publicly clarify this because I don't like to leave a bitter taste in my mouth, or don't want anyone to get the wrong impression of him. Not that any of you guys believed me in the first place. No need to respond to this thread. As long as I got it out there, that's good enough for me. :xyxthumbs:

Good show! Glad to hear you worked it out. :dblthumb2:

Mike, you are pretty good at adult day-care. Have you had some counseling classes? You are very patient, fair, and have pretty good advice. Kudos!

Holy thread resurrection!!!! How's everyone holding up through this pandemic? Any old detailers still around?

Hi Dave,
It’s good to be hearing from you again.

Yep, I’m still around.
And old(er). And rounder.
