Water sheeting

One month durability, 3-4 two bucket method washes since waxing with DP Auto Bath + 1 cap full ONR and LC Blue Grout Sponges. I was just intending to blast off the pollen before an ONR wash, couldn't help but to update this thread. I'm very happy with this wax. If this wax ever wears off I'll do some comparisons with other LSP's.

Autoglym HD sure seems like a winner, David. Also, what kind of pressure washer were you using in the video?

Yeah, I've been putting it on everyone's car that pulls into my driveway LOL. Only thing about Autoglym HD is you have to be a little more careful not to get any "wax in the cracks", it really shows up unlike Max Wax or Souveran.

It's the little Husky I recommended against but then retracted the statement a while ago. It's still going strong!

I searched for this, and can't find it being sold anywhere. Did you purchase it recently?

No, it's old. My friend thought it was broken. I took it to check it out and it works fine! It's logged some hours over the year or so that I've had it with no problems. I just looked and saw a 1400 psi one for $99 on Homedepot.com :xyxthumbs:

Sorry to revive this thread, but how is the Autoglym HD holding up 3-4 months after the initial application?

Canadian Tire has the AutoGlym HD for $49.99. I'm not out of NXT yet but after seeing these videos it's extremely tempting to get some. How do you apply a paste with a PC?

I had to stop and think if I've applied any LSP since... Don't think so. Anyway, it definitely is a durable wax, FWIW I maintain it with FK 425 after most washes. Sheeting is no where near as fast as it was but the beading is still pretty tight and the car looks great after a wash and dry. AG HD is definitely worth trying out

Go for it! This wax applies pretty thick and "heavy" compared to a wax like Souveran, which goes on very thin and smooth. Definitely spread it as far and thin as you can for easiest removal. I prefer to apply it by hand as it's extra tough to clean from a pad. You can remove the wax from the tub to swipe across the pad if you want to apply by machine.

Never used Souveran so I can't compare. I'm still a newbie to the detailing world so the only waxes I've used are Megs OTC stuff - NXT 2.0, Gold Class and ColourX.

$49.99 is a lot for wax and I can't complain about NXT 2.0, but after seeing those results... hmm...

oh man... I remember those days when I was like you. All I had was OTC stuff... hell, I even had turtle wax (shudder). From then, to now.... I now have an addiction/affliction with waxes. I have probably over 20 different kinds... and will I ever go through them all? heck no. But it sure is fun getting them for the big brown truck of fun, and using different LSP's depending on my mood. In fact, I was going to start a thread here over the weekend asking folks to share how many waxes/sealants they have... ;)

Yeah $49.99... it's like $34.99 at my Walmart... PM sent.

(I don't think this breaks any forum rules) Has anyone listened to Larry at ammo's podcast Drive and Protect? He just did two podcasts with Jason Rose from Meguiar's and they had some really interesting stuff to say about different materials ability to "sheet" or "bead" water.

Who is this Larry guy I keep hearing about. Seems he is being heralded as the God of detailing for some reason. Seems if he says something or uses something it suddenly becomes the must have product. I'd rather know what Mike has to say :)

I have 2 tubs on Auto Glym HD. One is hardly used and the other was never taken out of the box. I got them on closeout at Walmart for $20 each. Not a bad deal. I don't use it very often though.

Just look up AMMONYC on YouTube or watch the Drive Clean series on the /DRIVE channel on YouTube.

Those podcasts with Jason Rose were really, really good.

He is far from a god lol. He actually learned a lot from Mike and seems to respect him a great deal. I believe Larry is speaking at this years detailer's mobile tech.

The interesting stuff was from Jason Rose, not Larry. The podcasts are amazing because Larry goes into the chemical structure of the products and helps explain why certain chemicals work in certain ways. I was a theology major, so it really helps someone like me lol.
