The oft misquoted Billy Shakespeare line appropriately describes the following.

After using APC+ at 1:4 and Stoners Carpet Cleaner the spots on my husband's floor mats still looked like this. What are the spots?.....I have no clue..

So I went to the HD to pick up the Zep Citrus Degreaser someone suggested in http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/products-guides/25267-otc-degreaser.html While there, I found some Chem Dry spot cleaner packaged with one cleaner for "water based" stained and a second for "oil based stains". It was only 4 bucks so I said what the heck.

Following directions, I sprayed the spots as directed and blotted with a dry cloth then a damp cloth as directed. This is the result.

Not perfect, but 95% of the spots are gone and you have to look real close to see them. I suspect if I hit them again, they will be 99% gone.

In summary, the Chem Dry carpet cleaner is a winner for greasy spots....

For carpets, Floex is great. I got mine at Lowes, but I think HD sell it.

Good job Jenn glad you got most of it out. Tell your hubby to take his shoes off or wear booties.

He claims it was my nephew who had the yuckie shoes. He now wants me to do his entire upholstry since it came out so good. He has a plastic overlay on his side to prevent his dirty shoes from messing up his side.

I have the same brush, got it at a clearance. got a bunch of other attachment heads with it too. lol.

Looks like it may have been road tar. I've used hand cleaner to spot clean tar before the Folex with good results.

I found mine at Wally World on sale after someone on here had mentioned it. It is so much easier than agitating by hand. I can't wait to use the "lug nut" attachment head to see how it works. I am forever battling the lug nuts even though I have several brushes to use. I am just never happy with the gunk that always seems to remain.

Yes it is easier. At first i thought it was spinning, but as i was starting to use it, i realized it was only spinning at around 150 degrees back and forth. Still found it to be very useful.

Have you tried ARO on the wheels and nuts to see if you can clean it out easier?
