:awman:... I thought this was gonna be a review. I'm curious as well.

I thought the same thing David. I saw Optimum Hyper Polish and I saw Ron and I thought here we go! Oh well, soon come I'm sure.

Interesting concept, but why do I need to spray a polish when it's just as easy to put a dab or two on my pad or a line on the panel and pick it up with a rotary. Be pretty hard to compete with Meg's 105/205 or Menzerna's line.

From what I got in the new video, it's mostly to prevent dry buffing when you first start polishing as the the pad will not be fully covered with product, but if you are priming your pads via KBM with m105/m205 then there really is nothing all to special about it.

I'm really not all that excited about the new sprayable polishes.

I don't know.... no risk of splatter is nice... and it seems like a great product for single step correction with having smat and dat abbrasives.

Definitely going to be getting a test run when I buff out my truck this summer

I dont get spatter either way, so it doesnt really matter to me. Also what splatter do you get when putting 2-3 dots of polish directly onto the pad then to the paint? Besides, I dont really see the advantages of mixing the two types of abrasives together, thats why Meguiars M95 is always confused me.

Well considering i am new to learning the rotary I have splattered and don't want a repeat of that... and I have never seen someone prime KBM style on a rotary but maybe ill try that out

Basically the KBM method is about priming the pad, using pressure, and a spritz of water to reactive the polish when dry. The type of machine you use it on doesnt matter.

Just practice keeping the pad flat and picking up a bead and you wont have any splatter problems in the future.

KBM says not to add water (spritz) with a DA polisher.

The same reason I haven't tried it. I think it is easier and quicker to apply this way but not enough to be the reason to buy it. Now if it's function as a polish was equal or better to Brand X then the spray function is probably a wonderfull thing. Sure interested to see what people say about it though.

Yes, you are correct about that. The water spritzing is for rotary only but I meant the method itself(priming/pressure) can be use on any machine.

If I remember correctly from my conversation with Dr. G at Detailfest this year, he explained that he had a new "Hyper" comming out that would cut better than M105 and finish better than M205. Thats gonna be good stuff if its actually better than both of those products.

I will be ordering this tomorrow and I intend on doing a full review for you all.

I just did the hood of my truck (2000 Ford F350) with the hyper. I was really impressed with the cut it had along with the amount of work time it allowed me. Even working in direct sunlight. It finished well enough I didn't bother to use OPT polish and went straight to opti-seal. Overall really impressed with this product, but don't have much to compare it to either.

Looking forward to it!

I just ordered some! :buffing: Priming the pad is a pain in the rear to me. I'd rather squezze a trigger that takes all of 1 second and start polishing. Less mess and easier to use. This seems like a brilliant idea. Can't wait for spray-able Hyper compound to come out.
