Yes, I know I mis spelled it in the title
Aston Martin.
DB 7 Vantage Jubilee Limited edition 3 of 26

Had the privvy of detailing this one yesterday. What a nice car, they only made 26 for North America and 24 for Europe.
This car has silver stamp inside the doorjams showing it is 3 of 26.

We did a full detail (by our standards) Wash, QD, Claybar, Polish (didnt need compound) and Dodojuice Purple Haze.

Plus a complete interior detailing of course, clean and condition all leather, steamclean carpet, detail and dress any vinyl, windows etc.

Total package was $329 plus tax.

I was toying with the idea of using diamond White, topped by Purple haze, but got nervous and just stuck with the PH.

Do you think a coat of Diamond White (hard wax), topped with a coat of Purple Haze (soft) would have worked? I'm still wondering.

I read somewhere that you can use the soft wax overtop of the hard wax for an extra glossy depth. I figured maybe because it's just based with light or clear beeswax it wouldnt matter using it on the darker car, then top with the Purple haze to enhance and take advantage of the darker color ingredients.

However, I dont know if its a good idea or not, hence why I was asking.

I can see where you're coming from, but personally, I would never use a wax that's specifically designed for a completely different application. JMO. :)

P.S. What polish did you use on the car? Looks great...

For this car I used Meg's #82 swirl free polish with a G110.
I'm not totally happy with the 110 now because the backing pad wore flat and its really hard (and a little dangerous) to keep the pads on it while working! I ordered a new backing plate (from here) but seems to be taking forever for it to get here. Comon guys rattle the chains on that UPS driver!

I did discover today that a nice wipedown with a spray wax adds that enhancement I was looking for. I tried it on my truck which has been treated with the same wax and it has that showcar "glaze" look. This is probably a better option than double waxing.
