I just decided that when I get the cash I'm going to take the plunge and buy an expensive steamer to detail my cars with! I'm also getting one because I can see many other uses for it around the house. Too bad AG doesn't sell steamers because I'd probably buy one from them. Anyhow, I'd like to hear about some experiences in using steamers. Anyone on here that uses one please share your experience with me. Thanks.
 
I'm probably going to get the VX-5000.
 
I have a shark steamer and its great for those on a buget one day id love a real deal steamer like the VX cleaning with steam is great

I just bought an AR-630 Pressure Washer. The VX-5000 is next on my list. I have a myriad of duties planned for both around the house.

Have you received it yet? I was eyeing this until I checked the manual and it didn't look like it ran on a typical 15A US outlet. It looked like a European two prong power connector on the PW.
 
I'm looking to sale my vx 5000! Anybody interested?

The US AR-630 comes with a 3 prong GFI plug and 30' cord. A 20 amp circiut is required. Just got it acouple days ago and haven't tried it out though.

I reach more for my mytee then the steamer. I used it about 5 times and it worked really well but i hardly get interior jobs that require its use. But the steamer can also work well for other tough jobs!

Not that i don't like it i think it would be better of sold to someone that would have more use for it. Came with standard hose i was going to get the reinforced hose just never got around to it.
 
The VX is a good unit, but I'd like one from Steamamerica. Too bad they are $4,500 or so.
 
VX-5000 is on my list too. You can pm me a price, but I'll wait my turn in line.
 
I use a mcculloch MC-1275 and it works fine whether its interior or exterior about $100..lots of attachments...i dont see how anyone could warrant a 4.5-7k steamer for detailing
