It's way brighter. Literally a night and day difference.

I have both and the LED one is a lot brighter, but it takes AA's so its not rechargeable by design. You would have to buy rechargeable AA's.

I love my Brinkmann... Unfortunately my wife has discovered its magic as well and seems to be removing it from my detailing supplies on a regular basis Ahhhh! I got it - A great excuse for me to consider that one that straps to the head!

Keep in mind, LED will show different defects than a xenon gas bulb due to a different light spectrum. So in many ways its an addition to our current xenon model and not a better, upgraded version.
