I just used DG Aqua Wax for the first time last night. I spayed it on while the car still was still wet from washing and as I was drying off the car I started to wonder what it was doing to my new MF drying towels? I have been reading the post about MF towels repelling water due to wax contamination. Do you recommend washing your drying towels after each use?

How many wash their MF towels after each use, removing detailer spray, glass cleaner etc..?

Thanks

Paul

I have a "laundry pile" of MF's in the garage. I let the quantities build up and when I have a big enough pile, I throw them in the wash. I've used them to remove a variety of waxes, sealants, and to apply QD's. They function fine after a wash. Mind you, these are "paint" MF's. By that I mean I have a designated FOR GLOSSY PAINT SURFACES ONLY pile of MF's. The older MF's get tossed in the DOOR JAMBS pile then finally, the WHEELS pile.

Sometimes I don't use Aqua Wax or Optimum Car Wax when drying the vehicle, but when I do, I still use the same exact towels.

Regardless of the towel, after it has been used once, it gets tossed into my "laundry towel" pile. I won't use the same towel twice before washing it in the washing machine, but I don't wash my towels until I have a pile full of microfibers, then I will toss a bunch in the washing machine and wash them thoroughly.

I wash mine after every use. I also have color-coded my towels for specific tasks. I don't want to use a towel that was used to remove polish to remove wax incase the wash didn't get all the polish out. Same goes for wheels and door jambs etc. OCD? Probably, but I like to think of it as wise investing.

Okay, looks like some of my old habits will have to change and it looks I need to buy a lot more towels.

Thanks for the info.

Yea after using a towel for wax, its pretty much useless for anything else other than wax..
I haven't had any issues on spray wax though.
Plenty of Microfiber's on BoGo's..

Planning on buying some plastic storage containers to separate the towels in: Drying, wax/polish removal, glass care, and wheel door jamb and under hood cleaning.Great timing for the BOGO. Any forum favorites for the towels for different applications?

Thanks for the help.
