I am really addicted. I spent $3,000 last year alone on detailing products (pads, polishes, waxes, soap, upgraded DA/rotary). Last year I spent literally 6 hours a day, 6 days a week during spring, summer, and fall detailing my fleet of cars.

Due to the growth of my businesses I haven't picked up my polishers for three months. I'd be lucky to find 30min to foam my car and blast off the loose dirt just to keep my car from getting excessively dirty.

Whenever there is a 20% off on AG, I'd order something, mainly pads. I love collecting pads, and have stocked up enough pads for at least 10 years for personal use. Even though I don't have the time to use the stuff I still buy them in hope that one weekend I may find a couple hours to test them out.

A few days ago when it was raining, I was getting restless and praying for the rain to stop so that I could carry out my detailing!

then I noticed a few scratches on my refrigerator, immediately I got my rotary and started to work on it! after I was done, the freezer door was nice and glossy!
I kinda felt temporarily satisfied! lol!( then my mom walked in and she was like WTH!!) :D

LOL I do the same thing... Polished tables, fridge, jacuzzi tub, glass top stove, a CD, computer desk. My next one is going to be the bathroom mirror, not for swirls but to test various products for anti-fog ability. :xyxthumbs:

HA, NO doubt about it, you got it BAD!!!

I just shaved my head and am thinking about applying a coat of Fuzion with a DA, any ideas on which pad to use?

I bought a car July 3 (2007 Impreza). This is the first time in my life (35 yrs old) that I bought a car that I actually like, not just looked for a good deal. I never liked my previous cars so I have never taken very good care of them. To give you some idea, my last car was a Pontiac Aztek. It looked like a miniature garbage truck!

I decided to do some research and learn how to properly take care of my car. I haven't decided whether I am lucky or cursed when I found Autogeek. Every time that I look in my detailing cabinet and see all of those Autogeek sample bottles staring at me, I realize how much money I have spent. I am looking at 12 sample bottles. I have 13 orders but didn't order a sample with my first order :( 13 orders in less than 2 months and well over $1000 dollars spent to detail my car? My cart is filling up yet again...

I used to use my mop bucket, turtle wax, and some old T shirts. Now I'm using machines, microfiber, grit guards, and about a dozen different products for one Saturday detail.

I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I have lost my mind. I have spent way too much time with my car and different products since I acquired my new addiction :xyxthumbs:

I find myself looking at others peoples cars wherever I go and analyzing what I would use on them.

I'm bothering my friends, family, and neighbors to bring me their cars so I can detail them.
(Are there any "You know you are auto geek if..." threads? I think that would be amusing).

Anyway, I am having a blast with my new addiction. Autogeek and this community are nothing short of amazing. I really appreciate what you guys have taught me.

I'm done rambling!

Red jeweling pad. No point in using a compound and cutting pad. The wrinkles don't come out.

I polished a toilet.

Used Fuzion on the seat. Too slippery. Girlfriend slid off.

Such language!

I Relapsed! I thought I had my DPA (detail product addiction) under control. No matter where I go or what store it is. I'm always looking for detail products. Once you start buying it's hard to stop. It may go away for a bit,but always resurfaces!
