I live approx. 20 min south of San Francisco (San Mateo). It has been near triple digits for the 5 days making it difficult to detail. How is the weather where you guys live?

Then you don't know what HOT is. Here in Dallas, we had around 23 straight days of triple digit temps with a heat index and no rain.

Saw on the news where Los Angeles is hot as well. People walking through the water fountains to try to cool off.
Plus allot of power outages.

Its only in the seventies here in Eastern MA but very humid air coming up from the South.

40's to 70's here. Give it a month and it will be -10 to 10 degrees with snow.

Keep in mind, San Francisco is heavily influenced by the bay. San Francisco is typically cold/cool in the summer due to the thick, heavy marine layer. Triple digits are very rare near the bay. On the other hand, go about 30-40 miles inland...

Just sayin....

If you think Texas is hot, try spending some time near the California/Arizona border in the month of August.

In August of 2006, in the Nor Cal, (Sonoma/Napa) we had a heat wave that lasted 11 days. Not 23 straight days, but the temp where I lived, topped out at 117 degree's.

Like I say, it gets hot in the Nor Cal, (by the coast) but it typically does not last very long. What I like about living here, is that 9 out of 10 times, even on an 88-95 degree day, it cools off at sunset, compliments of the marine layer. I live about 45 miles north of San Francisco, with the northern part of the San Francisco Bay about 10-15 miles to the east of me...Think nice marine layer. Once you're 50-70 miles inland, no marine layer.

At the California/Arizona border, it's hot as HELL for 3 straight months in the summer, every summer, with temps not uncommon to hit 125 degree's.

Shane buddy you are really starting to push it. First you win the AG trip and now you post weather reports like that :bash:

How long do you think Pinnacle Souveran, or Nattys paste wax would hold up in 115 plus degree temps

I don't think it would hold up much past 2-3 weeks.

 Looks like somebody could use a vacation. Let's see, you could go, oh, just a shot in the dark, how about Knoxville, TN? :p Oh, and if you come see me, bring your new garage with you, would you? :awesome:

Btw...

105 degree's where I live, 109 degree's 30 miles from the bay in the Napa Valley.

Sure thing buddy but I'm bringing it back with me :)

Here in the Nor Cal, we just got over a 5-6 day heat spell. Temps topped at about 98-99 degree's with humidity as low as 11%

Luckily nothing caught on fire. At 12:30 in the afternoon, it's a cool 65 degree's, with a high of 80, expected. For the next week, we are expecting temps ranging from the low, to the upper 70's. We won't see any heat until next May.

Very cool mornings, and very cool evenings, with mild daytime temps in the 70's will be the norm for the next couple of weeks...absolutely perfect for polishing cars :xyxthumbs:

Summer is now over for us.
