Meg's Hyper Dressing on Tires?

i don't care for HD on tires, but it works well on the wheel wells and engine...

i agree. the durability just isn't there for tires. optimum tire shine is superior, still water based and gives a look that seems to please almost everyone, but...the value of hyperdressing is still there for what you mentioned. the gallon, at 4:1 - a steal.

I have optimum tire shine, and while it's good, it still has a bit too much sheen for me. HD @ 4:1 is perfect, and I clean my tires every week, so durability is not an issue. I'm surprised most don't clean their tires weekly and re-apply dressing.

I do, but I like Optimum better. If it rains on Monday and Tuesday it still looks good on Friday. Can't say that for HD.

On tires?

I have an 8 oz sample I have yet to try.

Yep!

Leaves a nice satin natural looking gloss!

Risky, I agree with you! Love the more natural look. What ratio do you use it on tires?

It's between 3:1 and 4:1

Like you I usually wash weekly and my tires will stay looking good for a couple weeks if there is no rain. If it rains then my car is dirty and needs a wash anyway. ;)

I should take a pic of my car now....been almost two weeks since I washed now and it was outside for a light rain one day and it still looks good to me.

You couldn't have said it any better. :props:

I use Hyperdressing on my tires as well and love it. Like mentioned on previous posts it's easy to clean off when it's time to without the mess. I'm not really looking for long durability since I wash my cars weekly.

I love HD mainly cuz it doesn't sling all over my truck! 2-1 is my preffered look and I spray and let it dry for 20 min or so b4 I wipe xcess off! I get about a week in dry conditions and I'm happy with that cuz I wash often!

Those tires look great, I'll have to see if I can find a sample of it to try out.
Dwayne, I thought you were a high gloss type of guy? HD can be diluted up to 4:1. Raskys pics are very close to 4:1, and I don't think you would like it.
1:1 high gloss
2:1 medium gloss
3:1 satin finish
4:1 natural finish

I really like how you can dilute HD!

I'll send u a sample. PM me your address.

I am a higher gloss guy BUT not everyone is.

I think I owe you something first so just hold onto that sample for now ;)

I'm part of the group who prefers the higher gloss on their tires. I think the second and third pics that Rasky posted are getting close to the look that I like (they look darker and a bit glossier than the first picture).

I'm thinking a dilution of 1:1 might work for me. Will find out this weekend.

Rob, I use HD on all my details. 1:1 is as shiny as anything you will ever see. I sometimes use it straight for super low profiles. 4:1 works great for wheel wells. But I have yet to find something that has more shine, especially if the wheels have been washed properly.

But the best thing is how easy the tires are to clean after using HD regularly. I absolutely despise gels and such that leave crap all over the tires and takes chemicals to clean up.

High shine and the best deal!!

IMO, I think the tire itself plays a significant part in how any dressing will look.
