Putting together a detailing list, opinions wanted!

If you are getting the Souveran just for yourself, then by all means go with the Souveran. But if you are looking for a wax to apply to your friends' or clients' cars, then I would go with a less expensive wax, e.g., MaxWax or Collinite 845. Souveran is a great beauty wax but its durability is lousy. I suspect your friends or clients will want a wax that is going to last longer than a couple of weeks.

Regarding the Endurance tire gel, I would hold off until the new trigger version is released next month. It's supposed to be much easier and less messy to apply and even more durable.

So far I've had good luck with IPA wipedowns. I may try mineral spirits in the future though. :) As far as pre-wax cleaner goes, I plan on simply clay-barring the car and then doing an IPA wipedown any time I want to wax it, so I don't feel the need for a cleaner. I might try the APC+ later on as well to see what I feel about it, but at this time I'm sticking with Purple Power because I've had great luck with it in various applications. As far as a pad cleaner goes I use Dawn Dish soap and let my pads sit in a bucket and soak, then rinse them throughly in clean water and spin them dry on the PC. It works incredibly well. Bug and Tar remover I don't use either simply because if I have a vehicle that dirty I do a wash with Dawn Dish soap to strip all the bugs and tar and wax. I should probably get a trim dressing though. What are you using? Also, I do need to look into a carpet cleaner for sure, but I may end up just buying a shampooer.

Yea, I will just use the Souveran for myself. At this time I don't have enough experience to start worrying about customer cars simply because I'm not good enough to do a "proper" detail yet. Once I get to that point though I will definitely pick up a more durable wax.

I already have the Endurance gel, and it's worked great thus far. I'll look into the trigger version once it's released for sure. :)

Imo you should use a scent other than febreeze auto. Paying customers will want something different than what they have in their garage.

I have heard good things about the Poor boys stuff. I use CG apple and stripper scent.

Sounds like a good idea. :)

As far as carpet cleaners, are you guys just using spot removers? Generally I like to rent a Rug Doctor and just shampoo the whole interior to get it clean since they are pretty cheap to rent. Besides that all I do is simply vacuum the car out regularly to keep debris out of the carpets.
