SSII is a polymer based wax, a newer formula, and best on metallics and lighter colors. Its still quite nice on darker colors however and more durable than Souveran. Souveran however has a glow and depth best and most noticable on blacks, reds, and yellows.

I was really surprised so see how great my yellow Corvette looked with Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax. Don't get me wrong, Signature Series ll and DP Max Wax looked great on it but the yellow just seemed more yellow....

I'm not a chemist but I find it interesting how some waxes look different on different cars and colors...
