Ultima Sealants: Mythbuster

Everytime I speak to Rick he is talking of new formulations he is trying; it could be just a matter of time until they top themselves with something new.

Thats exciting, wonder what will be next that will blow (some of) us away?

That is hilarious!!!! You don't know how funny that really is... Wait till you see this picture I am posting now. You must be psychic.

True story: while I was doing this testing earlier I was labeling the tape on the bumpers. I couldn't help myself. I reached over and colored a little square on the bumper with the sharpie to see if I could color a whole bumper that way or how it would look. This is off in the middle of the interior Guard section of the bumper.

Thank you Scott!

You know what's coming now, don't you?

A new product for use on black plastic textured or smooth surfaces called "SHARPIE"

It's inevitable.:dblthumb2:

Thank you for such an excellent write up.

I just received the UTTG and UWWP+ today and now will be buying the UIGP, too! The UWWP+ is also impressive.

Great write up Corey. I have been using Ultima since it was first released. As a matter of fact it's my 350Z that is on the bottle :)

I love the products and each is different and specifically designed for different applications.

Another through review! I don't know how you get the time, I've been so busy these last few months I haven't even had time to read the forum let alone post.

Keep 'em comin' and merry Christmas

At some point, I'd like to see a review of "finishing" polishes (pre-wax polishes/paint cleaners), and see how Ultima Paint Prep Plus stacks up against the competition.

We need more information on the final step just BEFORE applying a sealant or wax in terms of the products that would be in that category. Wish I had the time.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words!

Merry Christmas to all of you :)

I did a review on the Sonax Paint Cleaner.

As far as the UPPP I really love it. I use it every time before UPGP on my Sky. I'll try to do a review on it at some point in the future.

Very cool. I've had my eye on the UPPP product and I think I will give it a try next spring once the weather breaks here. I've got good protection on her right now. She'll get stripped down again in the spring, then polished and sealed again.

My car is new and doesn't really need an abrasive polish. UPPP might be the perfect pre-wax/sealant product for new cars. I'm really interested in the pre-LSP products right now.

You will love it:dblthumb2:

Nice Cee Dog. I have a fresh bottle of UPGP waiting to be applied.

Corey, Another OMG review. I don't know how you do it.

Between you and OldTiger my wallet is lighter but our cars look better.

Corey, you truly leave no stone unturned. Your attention to detail is commendable.

C, thanks for doing this review, I know I was one of the ones that questioned if there was really a difference, and clearly there is. Having never used the products I ordered both after our conversation to try myself. I havent had a chance to use them yet but its good to know that it was money well spent.

Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the compliments. :)

I wanted to note I went out to test the feel this morning on the interior surfaces

The UPGP was not as soft as the other two. I think the UTTG was actually even softer than the UIGP but it wasn't quite as dry to the touch on that vinyl surface. The UTTG is much darker then the UIGP and even darker still than the UPGP. The UTTG is also quite glossy. I should probably buff the UTTG now.

My pleasure! Hey you never know for sure (without testing) how much difference there really are between products right? I hope you like them a lot. Let us know if you do. If you hate them tell us that as well! :)

Merry Christmas Im the MAN

You guys are amazing!

Every time I come on this board, I learn and then learn some more.

Thank you and Merry Christmas...

Bill

But Kurt, think of how much time you save with Ultima products! Merry Xmas to you and yours! BTW pricing on Ultima @ AG is an all time low now!

How does UPGP stack up against sealants like UPP, DGPS, Poli-Coat, and Power Lock?

It floors me that people would think the sealants were all the same thing... Thanks Dog for taking the time to bust this myth.
