Protect your pics!!

How do you know if your pics are on someone else's website?

If you are lucky he is just linking the images to your site, and you can change them to something horrible so they show up on the other site.

Guess it is time to start watermarking

Man, that is so cruel and so funny to do at the same time! lol!

I thought if I were in them no need to watermark. Guess I was wrong.

You must have got your sexy back. :xyxthumbs:

I usually find out by friends or clients that tell me. Here is a pic I recently received by email of the same picture in a low cost business start up publication.

So not only is he ripping your pictures, he's trying to throw people off by calling himself "scottswax" thinking they'll mistake him for Scott Hair. LOVELY! :bat:

perhaps we can all leave negative comments as we know that your the orig owner of the work. This guys shouldn't be able to get off the hook so easy.

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw this on Facebook this morning! I'm currious what the REAL scottwax has to say about it too!

Will the real slim shady please stand up! :D

Joe, I offer professional watermarking services.
Here's a sample of what I can do for you. I suggest you replace your current picture with the one I have provided.

If you are interested, give me a call. :dblthumb2:

For real though - a watermark is the only viable option. Hit print screen and paste it into a photo program, or use a screen capture software, and it doesn't matter if right click is disabled, or whatever.

GOOD watermarks are the only way to go (not placed over solid colors). Any good Photochopper can take a poor watermark off.

Hmm... I just noticed something. Looking at that scottswax.com site, it says they've been in business since 1990. The "real" scottwax's site says he's been in business since 1994.

So the question is, in the words of Aretha Franklin, "Who's zoomin' who?"

PERFECT!! :applause:

Joe FYI other companies take our photos all the time, it cracks me up because its usually a customer that will call them out on it for we even see it. But I have a good email I keep to send to all of them if you want it I can send to you. Its based on intellectual rights laws. I never have a problem getting them to remove them after I contact them.
