Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloth - 12 pack purchase comments

Can someone post a pic of the problem towels? I was running out the door, and forgot to take a peak at mine...

I love Poorboys towels, I got others but keep coming back to the "mega plush":xyxthumbs:

just got my pack of 3 indigo MF towels yesterday. having read this post, i went to inspect the edges more closely and you are right! those are some rough and hard plastic edges. this is disappointing as the whole reason of spending that extra money on buying edgeless towels is that it won't create scratches. hm.....wonder what i am going to do with these now. maybe use a pair of scissors and just trim off the rough plastic edges as clean as possible.
Call Penny @ 800-869-3011 ext. 202. She will make it right. You will probably get a store credit IME.

thanks old tiger,

I might give penny a call. I also want to wait and see what AG's response to this problem is before i do that. thank you for the suggestion. greatly appreciated!

I got a PM from Dwayne this morning. They are back in the office and looking into the Indigos.

AG's customer service is outstanding. If you have any concerns, give them a call today and give them a chance to help you.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We will be communicating with our manufacturer to resolve this issue.

Of course, anyone that has received and is unhappy with these towels can contact either myself, Meghan or our customer service department and we will be happy to offer either a refund or an exchange.

Great attitude...Great service...as always :dblthumb2:

Always great customer service at AG! But, I would love to see them change their supplier of MF's. It's a pretty common opinion that much better MF is offered elsewhere. I'm sure they have contractual obligations, but if the manufacturer they use isn't up to the task to meeting the standards AG, maybe its time to change.

Really do like the indigo mf towles, just got some Pinn. Sovg. and the towel enclosed had the bad edge. oh well, to the misc. rack it goes.

Just looked and unpackaged mine, I have the same thing. An easy way to see if yours are bad, other than looking at the edge, is pull it side to side, you can hear the hard melted threads popping apart. haha.

Indeed.

I dropped the top to my jar of Fuzion. I sent Meghan an email explaining that it cracked the lid and so it wasn't air tight anymore. I offered to buy a top, but she said they would just throw one in with my current pending order.

Pretty cool.

We just heard back from our manufacturer regarding the Cobra Indigo towels and have resolved this on future shipments to us.

This was a result of hot wire cutting process rather than the laser cut process that we rely on to make the edge on the Cobra Indigo towels soft and paintwork safe. Max has authorized me personally to take care of anyone that has these towels with the hot wire cut edges so just send me a PM with your order/contact information and I will be happy to be of service.

These towels can still be used as all purpose towels for wiping glass, leather, vinyl, rubber, wheel wells etc. Later today the pricing will be adjusted to close out the current inventory.

The Indigo's and White Edgeless towels have long been a well regarded and extremely popular towel for removing polishes. It sounds like the manufacturer changed the process on ends and perhaps AG isnt aware of it, especially with the high volume of orders during the holiday season. I would contact Meghan or Jason and show this issue. I am sure they will contact manufacturer as necessary to report differences and remind you of AG's No Hassle Return Policy.

someone receiving these should of noticed and caught the difference on these. they aren't cheap and one would expect the get the exact item pictured. this reminds of the glass waffle weaves that people ordered a while back that were nothing like the one pictured... http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/discounts-specials/28997-first-fall-bogo-friday-9.html

I wouldn't be too hard on AG. Cursory evaluation of incoming stock is the norm for any business. Are they the correct size, color, fabric, how many boxes and stated contents against the invoice, etc. We can't expect AG to inspect every individual towel that comes from the manufacturer and for all we know, there could be mixed lots in the delivery with only a percentage of towels with the hot wire cutting process.

I'm not sure where the towels were manufactured but there is a long history of manufacturing in certain counties where the factory will substitute parts outside of contract or change the contracted manufacturing specs without asking permission or telling the buyer that it was done. It's one of the reasons that I preferred to manufacture in the US.

The most important thing to remember is AG's willingness to stand by their products and customers. If you are not happy with the towels, just give them a call.

:iagree:I've been in materials management and the receiving people can only be responsible for so much. item count, color etc. The purchasing people only have certain opportunities to check their orders and problems are most often pointed out by the end user. A company shows its true colors by what they do to correct the problem and AG does it right. :dblthumb2:

Did this happen with the Arctic white towels also?
