remarks from neighbors 2

Lol , You always wash your & your mother s cars ! & I ll bring you mine .

The #3 person who's worked so hard to get that nice car should maybe work even harder to reach into his pocket and have it detailed every 3-6 monthes then. The "family stuff" is such an exuse IMO, everyone has family stuff going on, noone is that busy from noon to night, everyday, everyweek, no way, if you've got that Porsche you've worked so hard for you'll either find time to give it some proper attention or have it taken care of by someone.

the part you are missing is that not everyone is that smart. Yes they can make the time but they just dont get it

Group # 3: People with nice cars that do not care about the car at all.

The group that amazes me most is # 3. I see some really nice cars, and you can see swirls, bird poop stains, rims that look like a sword went through them, the list goes on and on.

I guess some people just don't care, maybe the car was easy to attain for them and it's "just a car".

My .002 cents.

It could well be that it's a lease. I am not sure if I would as OCD if my car was a lease.

I leased a A4 for my wife a few years ago and she totaled the car . I convinced my insurance company to give me an extra 1k because it was in way above avg condition. I sent them in pictures and reciepts of detail products it worked.

Luckily neither of my neighbors say anything to me. They probably just think to themselves this guy is crazy always washing a twelve year old car and then when I got my focus last month oh why is he polishing s brand new car.

My dad used to tell me id wash the paint off te car when I first started but he was just messing around with me.

People I work with think in crazy for keeping my cars so clean but then they all are speechless when they see how nice and how smooth my paint is compared to their newer cars.

I think the bottom line is not everyone cares about their cars to the same degree as we do. Just like I'm sure some of us don't care as much about certain things as other people.

I get this "remark"...every now and then:

lol^

My neighbor across the street, after going for a walk, asks "New ride?"

I just responded "Kind of" because I was working on it all day and didn't care about anything else but getting this done.

The next day I had to pick up a different car and bring it over.

You should of seen the look on my neighbors face when he saw me pulling in the driveway..... "huh?"...........lol

The 'salesman' told me NOT to EVER wax my car. It will void the warrantee!

That was just yesterday.

Nuff said...

Lost a sentence somewhere when I posted , see 'red' sentence.

My next door neighbour is also a car guy and is in his late 60's, but we are worlds apart. He has El Caminos (I think 2?) and a brand new F150 on his driveway, while I've always had Japanese cars, so we've always learned something new from each other. Anyway, we usually clean our cars at the same time on Sunday mornings, and to annoy me, he squirts my car with his hose when I'm drying. Annoying sometimes but I'd rather have a car guy as a neighbour than not.

I don't know all of the circumstances involved with these water-spraying incidents; and, although I'm an older "car guy"...
I would never do that to anyone---neighbor or not!!

Along with this being, as you believe it to be: an "annoying" behavior...
He evokes a rather ineffective means to the: How-to-be-a-good-neighbor policies.

You're very humble; lenient; and, perhaps, showing harmless pity...
But what happens if he's alive when you get a little older yourself and: The Worm Turns?

Suggest to this 'Gentleman' to read/reread Shakespeare's thought on this in:
Henry VI (Part 3, Act II, Scene II).

"To whom do lions cast their gentle looks?
Not to the beast that would usurp their den.
The smallest worm will turn being trodden on,
And doves will peck in safeguard of their brood".

One should be able to enjoy a sense of peace when at home.

All my neighbor says is " Nice car"...and then follows up with " Is this your new car?!"

Just some old guy humor I guess.

Wow, I thought I didn't like my neighbors but they are a blessing compared to that. Unless we were close friends I'd be hard pressed not to grab my old Louisville and give him a few areas to polish out.

My neighbors are boring, only the occasional "Mine's next". One elderly lady did come up to me and said its was nice to see someone who cares so much about their possessions, which was great to hear!

I would say you do not have any kids. Stuff happens its only water you wont melt , yes agreed it would not make me happy but stuff happens get over it. Violence will not solve and is not the answer ,what ever happened to the old lets have a talk. Put your arm around him and say look please do not do that as it really bothers me. Then if he does it again smash his sh%t up!!

... made me laugh out loud at my desk, thanks!

I'm glad it made you laugh. It indeed was a very awesome exchange. He's the coolest little dude, he's got mad skills with the Xbox. He taught me well totally worth it. :xyxthumbs:

Maybe he should come help me too! I am awful at the COD games, but they're still entertaining.

You are completely right. What was I thinking? Hug first then smash! I always get those two confused dammit.

I am kidding by the way and I do have two beautiful little children who I hope would never spray someone's car after they got done washing it and respect other people's property. But I also teach them to stick up for themselves and others so one day they can smash good too.
