Had this vehicle dropped off to me for about 5 days. Customer didn't order any correction. But, I know this customer has a Porsche he's pretty particular about. I haven't been able to convince him to pay for full correction on his Porsche YET. I know it needs it too. I've detailed it twice and told him what it could possibly look like.

So, he brought me his sons vehicle that he wants to sell. Since I've got it for a few days. I decided to do some correction on just the hood. Just to show him in person what can be done! We'll see, ha. Here ya go...

Surface had lots of swirls and scratches.

You can really see them in these ones.

Here's what I used for the correction. Makita, 105 and 205. Wool pad for the 105, and a blue finishing foam pad for the 205.

I applied Eagle One Nano sealant with the PC. Let it dry, then wiped with a micro

Maybe NOW, he'll gimme that Porsche!

Nice work on that hood. I just talked a co worker into donating his black Mazda Miata for a day's worth of free detailing. All I want is for him to take pictures all day while I do a review of the new Lake Country One Pad System. I think I might use that on one half and the Dynabrade attachment on the other half. I love getting 50/50 shots.

Looks really good! UPS just dropped off my new pc and my megs cant wait to try it out.

That's nice of you to do. Look forward to your post! Thanks! :dblthumb2:

PC is great for wax and sealant. But for correction...I don't care for it. At least not yet anyways, ha. Thanks! :dblthumb2:

Nice! Now that's what I call dedication. Hopefully he'll hand over the Porsche!

Good stuff man! I think I want a NorthEast Detailing banner soon (signed of course)!

Can you explain the benefits of adding polycharger to eagle one sealant? Did you use the water or oil based formulation? Do you add PC to lots of products with good results?

I would like to experiment with the PC formulations, but I can't really justify the expense as I'm already using ultima series products.

Thank you,

Joel

Did you try any other combos before you came up with 105+ wool for the paint? or just fall back to what you knew would work? The paint looked in bad shape but I was just wondering if you tried other combos but ended up there.

I have done a couple subaru's and I found that I was able to step down to white Kompressors with opt hyper polish spray followed with grey CCS and opt finish polish for 90+% of the car.

The paint on those ru's seems super soft... I actually got mild (dog nails) scratches out of a 2010 impressa with just the grey CCS and opt finish polish. finished out nicely too...

looks good Kris!!!!!
Thank you much! :xyxthumbs:

As soon as I get some made...you'll be the first to know, lol. Thanks buddy! :dblthumb2:

Thank you,

I was actually referring to the Porter Cable being used to spread the Eagle One sealant. I have no experience adding polychargers to my products. I've never even heard of that...

I went straight to the 105 with the wool. It's never let me down. I've got a bunch of other compounds, pads, etc. But, I knew that would work, and work fast.

Sometimes I use a foam cutting pad, but not with 105. I've got some other compounds that it works well with. In most cases though, 105 and wool does the trick. :dblthumb2:
