Suede…

Most 'suede' in cars is an imitation suede like alcantara or buffalo and cannot be cleaned in the same way as leather but can be wet cleaned. There is a good site here Ordinary maintenance - Alcantara for information on care
 
i use woolite at 10/1 on a microfiber towel on my evo seats with great results
 
I have no idea if its real suede or not. I have a Ford SVT Lightning which has factory "leather & Suede" seats. I just assumed it was real…

To clean the suede, I usually do one of three things.

1.) I'll mist a little APC on to it, then scrub lightly with a clean soft bristle brush followed by a wipe with a clean microfiber.

2.) I'll use my Tornador. One quick blast with solution, then a pass with air. Wipe with micro.

3.) I'll do the same similar thing with an air hose. Little APC, blast it off with air, then wipe with a micro.

To protect it, you can use a fabric guard of your choice. Spray some on, let it sit for a minute...then work it in with a soft bristle brush."

Real Suede or Nubuck is extremely rare in cars - I have only ever seen it used in Maybachs or in the odd custom spec car. Alcantara and the fake suedes are very good these days and many people are fooled by them.
As we do not recommend any wet cleaning processes on suede/nubuck if you clean Alcantara in the same way as you clean suede/nubuck you would probably wreck it and vice versa so it is always important to be sure before you start. A simple check with a 40x microscope will tell you the difference.
