Hey guys, I've been browsing this site for over a year now trying to take in everything... I worked for a dealership awhile back cleaning cars and thought that I understood everything. Then one day I decided to search for a way to rid those pesky swirl marks in my black Honda Accord and came across Autogeek. Now I understand that I knew basically nothing at all! Things were done so backwards and just flat out wrong there!

I bought a Flex 3401 from Autogeek right before christmas and been messing around with Meg's UC, 105 and 205 and have got some pretty good results. I plan to post pictures of some work I have done sometime later today after work.

I just want to thank everyone for taking time to post up such great info for free on here. Especially Mike Phillips and the other guys that post up "How-to's"! I'm sure there are more people like myself just sitting back taking it in and not able to find the time to post. Most of my browsing is on break at work from my phone.

Thanks again,
Kevin

Kevin,

Welcome to the forum!! Yes, this is a GREAT site!!! I too thought I knew at least the "basics" of professional auto detailing before I found this site. Now I realize (just like you) that I really didn't know that much at all. I have only been a member here for a short time, but I feel that I am well on my way to being able to detail a car like a professional. This only made possible with the help from the great people here that are willing to shear the vast knowledge with everyone!!! :dblthumb2:

:welcome: To Autogeek Online Kevin!

What you learned at a dealership is how to do something as cheaply as possible, nothing more. As you stated, things were done so backwards and just flat out wrong there.

On Autogeek you will discover, I think you already have, that everyone here is very passionate about finish perfection and everything that goes into it.

Great products, customer service, and the most knowledgeable members on the planet....

Hey GA! Welcome to the board. I am a part time GA boy myself. We are all slightly nutty on this board.

Hi Kevin,

Your story is like the story we can all relate to...

We all start out at the same place and that's knowing nothing then if we're lucky we get around people that are willing to pass on what they've learned and this helps to flatten out the learning curve.

That's why I love this saying...

Each one teach one...

Pay it ahead...
