How to apply Collinite 845? Any advice would be good for me.

I haven't done this, but I also heard of some people attaching a sprayer on the bottle and using it like a spray wax. That could help you spread it thinner.

Of course, since you have the gray pad, by all means, use that to spread it. It should definitely spread it thing and evenly for you.:xyxthumbs:

Will definitely try your advice... can't wait for this weekend to apply it...

IMO you will be applying too much product with a sprayer

i agree with doug about the spray-if you want to get a fill of it try a yellow foam applicator and prime it a little then put a small amount of product on it and start spreading it and you will quickly see thata little goes along way-best 15 bucks i ever spent for a product

good luck and have fun with it! let us know how you like the 845 when your done.....

That's what I say when I want to stay home and wax:buffing:

I recently purchased Collinite 845 for my wife's white civic. I accidentally dropped it just before use and the hard plastic bottle broke bottle. I transferred it over to a meguires applicator bottle and comes out great! I definitely will transfer to an applicator bottle in the future as well.

The wax itself makes her car look like thick wet white paint. My wife who isn't easily impressed even made comments about the outcome. :props:

hey question....once you put on the initial dots on the pad, did you ever re-apply wax on the pad...how often?

I put 4 nickel dot on the pad. Yes I re-apply wax on the pad after I apply it to one section(60cmx60cm) but after waxing half of the car there still enough wax left on the pad so I put 3 nickel dot on the pad for the rest of the car.
Anyway if you think the wax is still enough, don't put too many wax on the pad because when using collinite 845 make sure you apply it thin.
Hope it help Trumbo_S10:cheers:

Thanks man, applying Meg UW this weekend, first time using GG w/ liquid wax. Loved it using AG HD paste.

What are the thoughts about applying 845 with a makita 9227 and black ccs pad?

I think applying 845 with buffer is okay, just set it low speed and don't put any pressure on it (just the weight of the buffer itself).
Always put it as thin as possible so you can buff it easily.
I use black CCS pad too when applied 845..
Just share some picture after you apply it :Picture:
See ya...!!!:buffing:
