Lessons I learned from a Black 2009 BMW 550i

Very nice write up. Love the 50/50 photos!!! U did an amazing job!! Thanks for sharing!!!!

Excellent job on the car and even better write up! A pleasure to read and great pics make it even better. Sounds like you have a regular wash and wax customer for life! :props:

That is a really impressive turn around.

Isn't it amazing what a client will think is a "great finish", and can then compare it to a perfect finish. They just can't get over the difference.

Nice work and great write up! That car was trashed and you brought it back to life!

Hun? That was a first!

Awesome job! Nice write up! I think your hooked!!

Joe, don't people call you hun, too? :xyxthumbs:

Nice work Laura. Looks great! So much for teaching that guy a thing or two, haha. :xyxthumbs:

As I took my PC away from him, I graciously offered to show him on HIS car sometime!

That is a really impressive turn around.

What I think is amazing is how they react when they see their car looking so good, then go back to treating it the very same way. Not the case with this guy, but the majority seem to do that and then are surprised when it stops shining.

Great job Laura! I've often run into the same thing you did, the sides correct differently than the top. Maybe it's the lighting, maybe the angle, maybe just what the environment has done to one or the other ... but it does keep you on your toes.

If you want to add something to your supply closet for the next time, I think I'd consider the new Meguiar's Microfiber combo, D300 & D301. Very easy to work with.

PS. Great hands for a detailer! ;)

Great job! Also great pics and write up!

Your write up and work are beyond excellent. I have also had BMW black bring me to the point of pulling my hair out so I can sympathize. Sorry about the nails though....:xyxthumbs:

Yeah, detailing isn't easy on fingernails! These are the gloves I typically wear when washing my car.
Aren't they cute :props:

Great job Laura! the reaction of a client makes all the hard work worth it! Keep it up.

Hahaha I love the gloves! I just have some latex and nytril gloves...work good for me..but my hands still get in bad shape.

Awesome awesome turn around. Ive got a lady who has a new...black...BMW I series...cant remember the #...she's considering a full 3 step. I like you have never done a black car before..and havent yet done a 3 step either...most my customers just want a single pass...and i get really good results with it...but im not quite sure what to charge her for a 3 step....i know this was your friend but how did you go about bidding this one?

Again great job...hope you got that manicure!

Those 50/50 shots are contest worthy, and those hands... hand model worthy.

I can't imagine the car looking any better.

NICE JOB LAURA!!!! I think you've got a long term client now! AND, not to mention all the people he'll be telling about you. One question for ya, What camera are you using to take your shots? I can never seem to get my pictures to come out near as good as yours.
