Ok so my buddy wants to give his car a quick over today. He doesnt want anything major just a 1 pass thing. The paint is in pretty good shape but wondering what the most cut I have for a 1 pass job will do to leave it LSP ready..his color is Cyber gray
My choices are
Menzerna Power finish
XMT 360
D151
MF Finishing Wax
tools I have are a PC with MF pads, or CCS pads
or Flex with Hydro tech pads.
I was leaning towards my Flex with a tangerine pad and Menzerna Power Finish

I would say the 151 has the best cutting ability and it is a AIO!

Hmmm now I gotta choose if I wanna use the flex and a hydrotech or my PC and a MF pad

I think you nailed it with the tangerine pad, but I would do a quick comparison between D151 and Power Finish and see how the paint responds to each.

Tangerine HT pads and D151 leave a good finish in my experience. Good cut from that combo too. Menz Power Finish is 203 correct? Try that with HTs also. Bit less cut but finishes down really nice.

Cant comment on the MF pads.

What vehicle does your buddy have? is it a factory clear coat??
For OEM clear coats,I've had excellent results with Menz PF and a LC orange pad.Leaving a finish LSP ready (no marring).

The only thing the MF pads will benefit over using the 3401 is when using the cutting MF pads, D300, and a DA. Since you won't be using that, I would definitely use the 3401 and a foam pad with either D151 or Power Finish. Hell, I don't think I'll ever be using a traditional DA again. My decisions change like the weather...lol.

well I ended up going with the MF cutting pad and Compound..it finished sooo nice on his paint. plus his Cyber gray color hides scratches and swirls..I had a hard time seeing them even with my halogen light before we even started..did half hood pulled out in the sun and it looked great

The MF system is truly awesome, it's just the tool that is most efficient with it isn't very fun, IMO.

yea the PC sucked when I got to some compound curves..but I love the fact that its pretty much 99% dust free
