will the backing plate that comes with the starter kit fit on a the pc xp?
(Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System 5 Inch Starter Kit, paint correction kit, dual action polishing kit)

i am ordering the pc along with the kit. Any suggestions? i have a rotary already with all the lc ccs pads and pfw pads with menzerna polishes and m105 but im kind of tired of my rotary. its a dewalt variable speed and its heavy lol. ive gotten good results with it but this new mf da system looks like it will cut the time and effort in half!

if there are more serious defects like deeper scratches will this mf system remove it or you would probably have to go with a stronger compound and more aggressive pad? If you're trying to remove sanding marks will the mf da system remove the sanding marks?

Please let me know what would be the best combo for this pad system which da or what not. Thank you!Feed back please

Yes, it will fit all major DA polishers with a 5/16 inch diameter shaft -- this includes the PC XP.

Since this question keeps on coming up, it might be a good idea for someone at AG to change the ad copy to clarify. Currently, it just says "The backing plate fits Meguiars Pistol Grip DA Polisher."

Here is a link to the actual backing plate in the kit:
Meguiars Mirror Glaze G110 DA Polisher 5 inch Backing Plate

Notice the ad copy for the backing plate says: The Meguiars Mirror Glaze G110 DA Polisher Backing Plate fits all DA polishers with a 5/16 inch diameter shaft.

Maybe they should say the same thing in the ad copy for the MF Starter Kit

yes thats why i asked thank you niele. now does it make any difference using the pc xp or gg or the megs da when it comes to this system?? and how about the other questions i first asked have you experienced any of those situations?

check out the posts from superior_shine, Rasky, and David Fermani who have tested this system extensively and have used it to remove 3000 grit sanding marks. You can supposedly get rotary-like results from the cutting discs, 105, and spray bottle of distilled water...

It can handle more serious defects too, just increase pressure and slow your arm movement down.

M105 with the MF cutting pads will offer more cut if needed.

why a spray bottle of distilled water? and whats up rask long time i dont get you on one of my threads hows everything?

I think the water is to extend the working time, though it's not something I really do.

Doing well! Yourself? :)

hanging in there . just started back up with the detailing again. im looking into the mf system because it seems to me it cuts down working time dramatically and im kind of tired of my 100 lb rotary lol. when you use a orange pad lets say with 105 could you clean on the fly and use the same pad with 205? how have you liked the da mf system rask? is it worth it? im getting the pc with the lc ccs pad intro kit along with the mf system kit
Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System 5 Inch Starter Kit, paint correction kit, dual action polishing kit
any recommendations?

I love the new system, especially the
pads! It's not going to work on all paints, but it's worked very well for me so far on most cars. Not sure it saves a ton of time unless it's just a light to moderate correction, or if you use both D300 and D301...then it will save some time, but most my jobs have deep RIDS and get finished with M205 or 106fa.

I'd get the GGDA or the G110v2 though.

Definitely a good system/tool to have on hand! :)

Go with the GG for sure!

Anyone had any pad separation? I just had one do it, and another is flat spotting in the middle if the pad, although I have used it on 3 boats heavily oxidized, not sure if this would happen on cars, this was only the compound disk, the finishing disc has rocked

Considering the G110v2 has been on national backorder from the manufacturer for.... I don't even know how many months now, I don't think he has much choice to go with the GG, unless he went with the PCXP.

why does the GG only say random orbital polisher the flex says DA orbital polisher and g110v2 says dual action polisher whats the difference?

They all have the same oscillating random orbital motion. Don't let the different words fool you. The only difference would be that the Flex DA has forced rotation, meaning the pad will not stop spinning under pressure.

ok i see. so i guess its going to be the GG with the megs mf system and maybe some lc ccs pads :)

i see the system is a 6 in that comes with the GG. what backing plate should i get to use 5.5 in pads? and just to make sure, the pc brush attachments will work on the gg right?

Perfect! I absolutely love the DA MF system with the GG DA. Make sure you buy a 5" megs w67 backing plate and 5.5" pads. Go with LC flat pads instead of ccs. Yes, the carpet brush attachments will work.
