Dont see to many motorcycles getting love, so I figured I would post the one I did today. Was contacted to do a full paint correction and polish all the chrome, and threw in polishing the front forks. Process was Meg's d/a system for big sections, Meg's 205 and a 3" polishing pad on my drill for the smaller sections, OPT metal polish, LSP was Collinite #476 for anything that could get hit by bugs and WG Fuzion for the rest. This customer is going on a 1k mile ride over 3 days and wanted the best protection up front with some shine everywhere else. Heres a few pics of the process :)

These things are really tough, and take quite a bit of time. LOVE how they come out though. Bikes make for some of my favorite pictures. :dblthumb2:

For sure, after 10 hours I wished I had bought detailing sticks instead of qtips lol, there were spots I just couldn't reach effectively

How did you get the pitting out?

On the rim OPT metal polish, on the front fork I used Meg's 205 to polish it then hit with opt metal polish for added shine and protection, I've found most smat product regardless of manufacturer does a great job of polishing most metal finishes

Sweet!! Nice job, alot of people would think detailing a bike would be a quick process due to it's size, but once you start disassembling them to reach everywhere it gets time consuming in a hurry but most owners appreciate your hard work and spread the word fast :)

x2? I've never been able to get front forks to turnaround like that and I've only been trying for 20 years or so.

Haha when the owner told me he wished he had the chrome sleeves I knew if I polished them up he would be excited, you can do the same, drill + Meg's 3" pad + Meg's 205 or any smat polish really should give you the same results, tape off the paint work, and polish away :) o and between the fork and the front ferring I used the power cone from mothers, that's what I meant by tap up the paintwork
