Help!!!!

I should probably add that those werent polishes...... otherwise I would have retired by now lol! But still the scaffolding would be a great tool I think.
 
ok, so i think ill be allset with the exterior. the client also stated that if the outside comes out nice, he wants the inside done. any suggestions on products for that?

I personally stopped doing the interiors. When I do get RVs, they are never here for an interior. Not only that, I'm just not setup to be a house maid, ha. I did a couple interiors when I first got the business. But I found myself just trying to use what I had, which worked...but not the same as having home cleaning supplies. Plus, I ain't cleaning someones bathroom, sink, couch, etc. I can clean dirty vehicles all day. But when it comes to that stuff...count me out! haha

LOL - thats how I feel! My betterhalf use to do all the interiors for me - love her dearly for that lol. Men like to see things shine, the ladies like sanitizing more I think. Either way go into like you're cleaning a small apartment. I usually ad anywhere from $2 a linear foot to $6........... for interiors, depending on whats needed of course.

Worse part about it - the fridge and appliances......... testosterone flys out there door for me when working on these :(

I used to use a ladder too. This scaffold cut my time down quite a bit. Before I had this thing, I used to use two ladders, and some adjustable scaffolding. That was nice for a while cause I could pretty much do half the RV before having to readjust everything. But after a while carrying around all that heavy stuff wears you down big time.

That's when I looked for something with wheels. For $99 that little scaffold is awesome. Here's a link to the exact model. I got it at my local Home Depot...

Yup, that's it. But I think they've changed their formula to add more cut. Cause the bottle I have says it also leaves protection on the paint. This stuff doesn't say that. But, I bought a big case of it about a year and a half ago...so I think they made it more heavy duty now.

If I were you...I would get a fiberglass sealant or wax, then just run a couple test spots. Cause if you don't have to polish, and then wax...then just go straight wax.

In most cases I go straight for the DA and some fiberglass sealant. Light oxidation comes out of gel coat real easy.
 
its very heavy oxidation but with a rotarty im sure it wont be to bad. ill use the meguiars oxidation remover w. a white pad so there is a little cut. and ill grab some fiberglass sealant. do recommend meguiars for that as well?

If it's heavy oxidation...you may even want to up your price. I've only done one RV where the oxidation was so bad that I had to polish it, and then lay down sealant...which is two really big loooong steps. I charged about $750 for that. Plus, I had the customer leave it with me for two days.

If you have his address and you are nervous about it.... definitely swing by and check it out - take pics if possible. Some people think it is way worse than it actually is..... and vice versa.

Agreed...I try not to take peoples word for anything. Mainly because they don't know what they're talking about usually, ha.
 
i hear ya. i also have a bmw 760LI i have to do in about a week. he wants all the swirls out. i have a bunch of swirl removers already. what do you guys use that work? i have been using wolfgang but i like to try different products

It all depends on the type of clear coat. Is it hard or soft...it's tough to just say what products you should use. I would run some test spots...and see what works for you.
 
im sure its pretty hard. the car costs about 100k. im just looking for some suggestions. im assuming the wgtsr will be just fine. i just like backup

I'd love to give you some things to try. But 90% of my products are Malco. Which AG doesn't sell.

Honestly, I'm guessing the products you have...I'm not too familiar with. If I were you I would post a thread, list your products, what vehicle your working on, and your intentions...and you'll get feedback from people familiar with your products. :dblthumb2:
