I had machine on too high I think. I think that's exactley what I did was work it too much! I'm learning though and will get better next time! I had never used a polisher before this....

You results look great for a first time. From the pics it looks like th MF discs did a better job than the Klasse. You can still see some swirls around the sun on that pic.

Keep trying Matt. I think it will come quickly to you.

The Klasse is only a sealant. But it does mask the swirls a bit. I think thats why you cant see the swirls on the hood after the Megs DA MF.

I was doing every other as suggested on the MOL article about this system. It was enough. I tried every 3rd and surprisingly it also works well. I do every other if the fibers are particularly matted. Cleaning on every slows it down too much.

It does slow it down A LOT!

Looks good man. All of my stuff arrived today. I'm planning on doing my dads green Acura this weekend...just so I get some practice before I do my new VW lol. Any tips?

I would use the polisher a bit before going right to the Megs DA MF (if you arent familiar with it). I didnt and wish I had. I used mine at too high a speed. Go 3.5 to 4 (per people here and the megs video). I had it too high. Go moderate pressusre first few section passes and then ease up on last few. Finishing polish fo no more than 3. Dont go as slow and not as many section passes. Also lighten up on pressure as you go. Watch megs video on you tube not AG video. Youtube is MUCH better at passing info to you! I learned a lot from my first time and from getting feedback on my mistakes....trial and error my friend is best I've learned. Good luck and post pics of before and after please!!!!

Thanks! When I get in to something I go all out! I spend hours studying and learning. I still suck at paint correction though.......but I'm getting the idea and just need practice like everything in life. Now if only I could figure out the best products to use for everything other than paint corrections (waxes, sealants, etc..)!!! ;)

Sounds good. I will take some pics of my dads Acura that I will hopefully do this weekend. It's supposed to be 70 degrees here on Saturday so I will get to use the hose for the first time this year!

I'm compounding the hood of my dads Acura that has been repainted as we speak. I did a test spot that looked amazing. Then I have been doing other spots after adding 3 to 4 pea sized dots on the pad. Now I am noticing little white scratches. I noticed the car had them before I compounded. What's going on? They are like 1/8 inch long and all over in some spots

Talked to my dad and he said they were there before I started! Thank god! I was pretty sure I was causing them to occur. I guess it happened after my mom rear ended someone like 10 years ago. So far the DA MF system is working wonders! My dad got home from work and was speechless. I'm half way done with the car now. My only question is, after the pad is primed how large size drops should I put on the pad and how big? I have tried doing 2,3,4 and didn't really tell a difference. The pad seems very well covered with product when I'm spraying it off with my air compressor.

Ahhh, I should have been more clear, I never suspected you put those in the paint. Crows feet are very common.

Glad you're getting nice results with the MF system. I love it! Try using 2 large pea sized drops. I've found that to work great. You don't want to add more than 3 drops, IMO. Are you blowing out the pad after every section?
 
I have been blowing it out after each 2x2 section. Is that excessive?
