Speed 6 for sure! I've only used PFW a few times and it was on hard paint. I can't comment for soft paint.

Dont mean to get off topic on this thread - have you tried the cyan or tangerine HT on soft paint? I am trying to find a pad that cuts as good or better than LC orange, but leaves a better finish (ie, less marring) with the 3401 on soft paint - if there is one. Since the Meg's DA microfiber pad is made for a PC, that will not work for me and the surbuf is probably way to rough for soft paint since the LC orange casues slight marring.

I've found hydrotechs to leave a good amount of marring on soft paint. I really don't think there's a pad out there that has a good amount of cut, yet won't leave noticeable marring on soft paint. My guess would be, if you need heavy defect removal on soft paint, you would have to follow up a more aggressive pad with a finer pad and polish.

Yes, they do "make" a pad for the 3401. Go ahead and try it, I bet you'll regret that you bought it. The MF system was designed for a traditional DA, not a forced rotation DA.
