Some say it's wonderful and others claim streaky. I guess trying for yourself is the only true test. As for me, I tend to shy away from their LSPs anymore for this reason.

I find when LSP's streak like that, it's from uneven application. Especially those Meg's "waxes" that darken, if you don't work them in enough in some spots, it won't be "dark" there and you will perceive it as a streak. Or maybe we're not talking about the same thing.

Very good point. I even noticed the streaking effect when applied with a DA tho. I think a DA applies pretty evenly. Possible my removal method but I do not encounter streaking with any other LSPs that I use. Anyways, a QD wipedown always fixed it perfectly for me. Just not a fan of the Megs LSPs personally.

I've gone through 64 oz. of M21 version 1.0 and have never had a streaking problem. No problems with the current stuff, either.

I believe streaking is primarily caused by high humidity and excessive uneven application.

I like #16 and #26 is ok, the others, not so much. I have the original version of #21 and I don't recall it streaking, but it took me like 2 years to get all the water out of the top and actually start using the product instead of purple water...worked a lot better after that...

Purple water.......

Yeah, that first batch would separate and have bunch of water floating on top...you'd shake it but it woudn't mix in. But being in an opaque bottle, you couldn't see that. So you'd shake it up really good, and squirt some out, and it would be all watery. After having it for a couple of years and only using it once or twice because of that, I finally took the top off and found that I couldn't shake the water in, so I just poured it off...and when I got the actual sealant out of the bottle after that, I found it worked pretty well.

Very interesting info. Wonder if that same situation can be causing the OP's issue?

Doubtful, when I say first batch, I'm talking about back in 2004 or something. It was a known problem and Meg's CS was replacing them, but I got a sample bottle from ADS (this was at the time M21 was only avail. in 64oz, I think), so I didn't bother.

thanks for the replies guys-ithink i will try it on the da next.to see if its me or the product.
it was real good to work with up to the streaking that i got .came off super easy.
the only other product i have had with similiar streaking was the old dp poly seal, but that was probably due to the fact i didnt put it on paper thin and i thought the product was to thick.do you fellas know if the new dp is that way?

Just curious but when you guys remove the wax...are you using 1 MF or 2? I know way back when i first started id use 1 MF...but since then i've always used 2 at the same time...one to take off the wax...one to sort of 'smooth out' any possible streaks...i use M20 and have had zero problems with streaking...I cant speak for 21 though. Just a thought...2 Mf's makes a difference :dblthumb2:

anybody know the cure time for this?i would assume 12 hours but forwhatever reason does not say on bottle.i know its synthetic but i dont really know the difference between that and a polymer but i did stay at the holiday inn last night:Picture:
