Best Carnauba Under $50?

Max Wax is a great wax for the price if you have not tried it yet I highly recommend it.

Although I have never used it, but will soon, You might want to try PB Natty's (not the blue or red). I'm thinking it would be the closest to Maxwax, which everybody holds in high regards but at half the price(~$20 for 8oz).

I also think Maxwax is a good product, like others have said, but after the latest rounds of price increases, it's off my radar. Only my personal opinion mind you but I don't think for a 'basic' wax it commands a $40 price tag.

Not sure how it would look over 845, but Pinnacle Liquid Souveran over Menz Powerlock is just sick - very deep and wet looking. Don't lean against your car, you'll slide off. Beads like glass marbles too. I get about 3 weeks of rainstorms out of it in PA, the rainforest of the east.

That would really piss off my wife - she likes to put her grocery bag on the the trunk lid.

Looks like I'm getting a lot for SSII, XMT 180, Natty's, and MW.

A question about MaxWax; has anyone tried MW over collinite? Does the MW improve the look?

I'm not so big on durability when it comes to carnauba's (since, imo, they are more for looks anyways), and I will be using Collinite #845 on top of Klasse AIO. I don't mind reapplying carnauba every month or so. I'm not sure how clients would view this. I'm sure if I explain this to them, they might.

I have tried all 4 but I was most impressed with XMT180 and Max Wax. Performance-wise, the differences between the two were negligible but Max Wax gives you an extra 2 ounces for $5 dollars more - that does not seem like much but 2 ounces of paste wax goes a long, long way.

If i may politely indulge you on a few other great waxes not on your list:

- Natty's (Original, Blue, Red) - Excellent wax line...and you can buy 2 cans for the price of 1 of the previously mentioned waxes

- S100 - An oldie but goodie. Durability does not match any of these waxes (1-2 months) and the container is smaller, but the looks are great and the ease of use is unmatched for a paste wax

I like Griot's Garage carnauba and used to use it exclusively. I don't use it any more since it detest the "applicator stick" packaging they switched to a few years ago. But, the wax is wonderful, easy application and effortless wipe off as well as excellent druability. If they ever make it available again in the 8oz jars, I will retyhink using it again. For now, Wolfgang Fuzion is my absolute favorite. Since your target price is under $50.00, it is probably out of consideration for you. However, the 3oz jars are BOGO from time to time. Think about it.

Hi [/SIZE]Ted S.;469764]Best Carnauba Under $50? Hi i use JAY wax Carnaube look it up on line works great and price is reasonable
I know how sensitive a subject wax is on this forum, but this next payday I am considering getting a carnauba wax. I already have Meguiar's Gold Class, which is great for DDs. But I would like to get a great wax under $50 that would look great on top of Collinite #845.

Maybe it's excessive, but I'd like to have Meg's GCC as my DD finishing wax over Collinite #845, and a premium carnauba for those who want something special.

Notes: I use Collinite #845 over Klasse AIO for general details, and Meg’s GCC as a finishing wax if desired. I’d like to have a premium offering in addition to Meg’s GCC.

What I'm looking at:

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax will give you a deep, wet finish will exceed your expectations. car wax, carnauba paste wax, pinnacle
Pinnacle XMT 180 High Gloss Carnauba Paste Wax, XMT car wax, auto wax, best show car wax
DP Max Wax- Made with pure carnauba wax and advanced polymers.
P21s Wax, P21s concours carnauba wax, p21s carnauba wax, carnauba wax, car wax

I may also what to see if a good carnauba is in the next BOGO....

HA guys sorry I ment JAX wax sorry i misspelled it Good luck

p21s concours... cheap, gives you best look for the $$$.... application is easy, can leave it for hours and it still feel like butter to remove.

I really like Natty's red, great wet look, easy on easy off

You have been very high on Natty's red for a while now. Promised myself no more LSP's for a while.......but hadda get Dodo Hybrid and some Red. For the price, its worth a shot and seeing how good your Ram always looks, I'm confident its a good product!

Thanks Jim, I recently bought a high end carnuba, which I love, but I still find myself reaching for Natty's red quite often. It leaves one of the wettest finishes I've seen out of all of my LSP's (I agree no more for awhile) The only drawback is I only get 3-4 Weeks out of it. If you don't mind waxing once a month it is a great wax, you won't be disappointed.

Isn't it supposed to be a sealant?

No it isn't but it behaves like one..

"Collinite 845 Liquid Insulator Wax, for example, is one of the finest liquid carnauba waxes you can buy. It has the shine and wetness of carnauba but its longevity is more like a paint sealant. You can expect up to 5 months of protection and incredible water-beading, even on non-garaged vehicles."

I'd go for Natty's Red. Inexpensive, easy on and off, and leaves a good, wet look.
