I received a sample of ChemicalGuys G6 from Mark (aka: 07 z-oh-6) and thought I would post a review before it rained today.

Earlier this morning,I went out and applied UTTG and G6 to the wiper cowl of one of my vehicles.

Here is the wiper cowl, before being cleaned with OPC (3:1):

My opinion is that both products made the wiper cowl look nice/new,with the upper hand barely going to the UTTG (slightly darker) IMO.
Also you can see after the products had dried an hour and it started to sprinkle, the UTTG is actually beading from the rain droplets and the G6 is almost just splotching IMO.

I'll keep this review alive with days/weeks to come to show their appearance and durability.

Thanks again Mark for the sample to do this reveiw :props:

No problem, Chris. Excellent review! One thing I noticed about G6 is you need to let it cure for a solid few hours. I think that makes a big difference in durability, IME.

I'll bring the vehicle in the garage and re-apply the G6 and let in cure for a while (overnight) and i'll post back for you Mark/(AG forum members).I was hoping it would of not rained until later so I applologize everyone if the product wasn't cured fully (mis-applied).

Excellent work Chris! Thanks for sharing :props: Great job showing the difference between these two products. The UTTG looks slightly better at the beginning of the test and that gap will only grow with time.

Isn't G6 that crazy stuff, or was it C4?

For this test,It was Chemical Guys G6 (white liquid).Where as GTechniq C4 is clear liquid and comes in much smaller vials.

The permanent trim dressing/coating is indeed C4.I showcase that product in another thread.
So far I have yet to find another product that has the durability and effectiveness as C4 but this was a review on a product that I was told that works well (especially for the money) G6.
Usually I will grab UTTG for a customers detail or even C4 if the customer wants to pay for the application but for cost conscious detailing the test (review) will conclude weather or not G6 will be in my arsenal.

 Thanks for the info. I've looked at the C4 before; expensive.

Great review Chris!!

I really like the Ultima Tire & Trim Guard. I've used this several times and it's becoming my #1 go to product!! :props:

Thank you, I need to pick some of this up. Looks like it does nice work.

I would wear some nitrile gloves when applying. If it gets on your hands, it can be hard to get off. You don't want that residue on your hands in the middle of a detail.

Noted! Thanks for the heads up.

i couldnt help myself!

Whelp, I just cleaned up a truck that I hadn't seen in a month and a half. G6 was just barely visible, while UTTG was still going strong. That UTTG is some pretty impressive stuff!

Yes, yes it is! Now I just need to try some UIGP for my leather seats!
