Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Those towels do like nice. Although I'm worried about them staining. How will you be using these? To remove wax, polish, dry, etc.

I bought them purely for interior dust management. I honestly wouldn't want to soil these suckers. They are super white and I bet after one use on the exterior they will stain.

However, I highly recommend them.

Here are my Memorial Day purchases: Can't wait to try some of the new product

8 orders...8 samples

What is the RubberMaid looking wheely bobber? That looks handy, but I didn't find it on the AG site?

Yea! I've used them on the exterior and they do seem to stain!

After a wash, they come out nice, clean and fluffy but never that white when it came first out of the box! :(

My most recent "unpacking" . If the date does not give it away, just got it yesterday. Needless to say I will not be buying any detailing products for a little bit! ;)

Thank you. It took a few years for me to finally bite the bullet on an Omega, being a watch guy I just knew I had to have one sooner or later. I was not sure if there were any watch guys on here but figured I would throw it up anyhow. This thing is heavy! Lol

Haha, nah I wanted both my arms. I gave them a kidney. I am not a drinker so I figured I could deal with just one ;)

Congrats on the watch buddy!!!

Theostobos,

Do you believe Meg's Ulimate Compound and Ultimate Polish as a 1-2 step process would be enough for most cars unless SEVERELY damaged? I believe perhaps a 1-2-3 step would be too much, and this 1-2 punch would be perfect topped with a sealant after the polish and then a top coat of carnauba, right?

Also, how does Scratch 2.0 come into play with these other products?

Thank you very much!!!

I assume you cannot use these with a foam applicator, can you ?

Anyway, that is one of the reasons I love this forum. Simply because you can get into detail about things that other people will consider totally stupid, like a applicator gripper.

But they will never feel the pleasure of of your palm grip, hurting from waxing too much....:caflag::caflag:

Thank you for asking for my opinion. To briefly answer your question, Yes. I do. Keep in mind though that there are a few more things that come into play when you compound or polish.

Clear coat hardness
Pad
Polisher

Nowadays, Most companies have an easy to follow 2 step compound/polish process. Like the Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System or the M105/M205 combo that a lot of people swear by.

I personally prefer Menzerna. A combo of IS1500 & SF4000 will pretty much tackle anything that comes your way.

Mike has written a very informative article regarding the Meguiars line of SMAT (Super Micro Abrasive Technology) that compares UC and Scratch 2.0 amongst others.

Anyway, this thread is for unpacking pictures so lets discuss this in another thread or pm if you want, cause this is called hijacking, especially on an epic thread like that....:bolt:

NICE! I love nice watches. Particularly automatic and saphire crystal :) a couple years ago, I had to choose between the Omega and Breighling...

I got the Breighling superocean. Love it.

I got the DP Max Wax on BOGO as well. From what I read, its smell, texture and pretty much everything highly resembles Souveran (some bloggers even went a little far in my taste, saying it is the same product just in a DP jar), so at this price I had to check it out. Give your impressions as well when you try it :)
