Got my package in today. Ordered it Friday night. Rupes LHR21ES with the 5" backing plate.
I thought this was cool.
Backing plate cover it comes with.
Pull it back and here's what it looks like.
Top handle area of the machine. Look at that Faux Carbon Fiber!
Label on the polisher.
Many vents to help with cooling I'm assuming.
I like the dial, very easy to turn and switch speeds.
Power trigger and lock. Was a little tricky at first to get it to lock but I figured how to get it to stay each time.
Power cord isn't as heavy duty as the one on my Griot's but it isn't cheap either. Looks/feels durable and isn't very malleable.
Back of the backing plate...lol
Washer for the "mod". Goes right in the middle of the backing plate then tightened down to the polisher. Simple enough.
First impressions of the machine...
The weight. Felt a little hefty at first until I lifted the GG6. The shape of this machine is very ergonomic for me.
It looks and feels very sleek and I can't wait to put this thing to use this weekend.
I will use it with and without the spacer to make my own conclusions. Unfortunately, I didn't order the Rupes polishes or pads. I plan to use it with Meg's MF cutting pads and LC Hydrotech foam pads as I already have many of them. The compounds and polishes I'll be using will be 101, 105, ScratchX, UC, 205, and the BlackFire duo.
Excited!!!Im the MAN:buffing::awesome::coolgleam:
Sorry for the long post guys.
