Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Bowden's marketing successfully targeted me last night. They did a tie in between some of their detailing products and my favourite soft drink, creaming soda. It was on sale, but I still probably paid too much. All products I either wanted to try or have tried and didn't mind using. The bonus was they came with 2 600ml bottles of creaming soda I haven't tried before. And a new sticker for my cabinet.View attachment 139152View attachment 139153

So you bought 2 bottles of cream soda and got free cleaning supplies. Just make sure to drink the right ones…

And the "Creaming Snowda" actually smells like the soft drink, so I'll have to stop myself from licking the car when I use it.

My order showed up quicker than I anticipated

I got a big discount on the Blaster, it ended up being about $35

I got the Speed for the 4Runner and other family and friends projects

I wanted to try the Gyeon Primer on the Tacoma after all the touch ups with Griots Perfecting Cream are done and see if I can squeak a bit more gloss from the paint; I think it has the potential to be very glossy

The Gyeon Restart is a nice product, I got a sample from Carzilla and I like the deep clean you get when you use it to follow up after NV Snow+

Spring orders................................

The next lot is again replenishing a number of favourites. The Brake Buster and R2R would have to be my most used chemical products. Pilot is my favorite interior cleaner/detailer at the moment. I've also decided to try out the Optimum version of Glass Clean & Protect, I absolutely love the Opti-Coat version as its everything Carpro ClarifyPhobic should have been.

The OG Tire Dressing is expensive, but you do get 946ml for the money, and a little goes a long way. I love the way it looks, its application feel (similar to ADS Tire+), and the scent is so addictive. Yes, I know scent is a non-functional aspect, but it plays a big part in the user experience..................it makes me happy.

PPF IMG_6903.jpgProtection for touch screen, gauge screen, and all clear polished surfaces on dash and console like climate control, gear selection indicator, etc

One more project but I can do this after it gets cold in my nice warm garage

I opted for the matte touchscreen protector and clear protection for everything else

I will report back after I get them installed

Thanks to @Tasmania for turning me on to this

Looking forward to this.

Bought some new wiper blades for the FJ. The current Bosch Aerotwins hadn't gone bad, but they've been on 3 and a half years on a vehicle parked outside pretty much 24/7. I found these ones for less than $20 each, the Bosch were near $50 each. What's the bet it doesn't rain for a few weeks now.PSX_20250901_142508.jpg

I always bought Bosch Icon blades for the longest time but the last couple of pairs were disappointing, especially for what they cost

Luckily...

Hooray for USPS, batting 100%

Anyway, I am done with Shinemate products, and not because I don't like them, but because they have become all but impossible to get up here

Park Car Care is the single source of Shinemate products in the US that I am able to find and they flat don't ship to Alaska, and Carzilla in Canada wanted almost $60 to ship $100 worth of pads

Amazon has a tiny selection of Shinemate pads and it looks to me like they are getting out of the Shinemate pad business as well

I am not going to keep chasing my tail and if Shinemate doesn't want to do business with the USA, then so be it

So I am back to Lake Country and picked up these SDO finishing and polishing pads from Detailed Image, who are happy to ship to Alaska and have reasonable shipping rates

$158 including postage
All Juiced Up!!

I used to pull all six BIG batteries out of our RV and keep them in the heated garage for the fall, winter, and spring and used 2 very similar charger/maintainers on 3 batteries hooked up parallel

They were always in great shape for the next season

I've already done a deep recond cycle on the battery and it’s on trickle mode. Just going to hook up the quick connectors tonight and get rid of the alligator clamps.
