My review of some edgeless MF towels

Maybe the Sonus Edgeless will be going on close out pricing like the Indigo's did.:laughing:

When did you receive yours?
I have another (2) pack of them on the way that I should have today,hope they don't look like the one's you have!

A week or so ago. Good chance they will look like mine. Return them!
 
Well it looks like we that bought the Sonus Edgeless MF's recently might have problems.
Clearly a difference!
My new one's on the Left,My old "Good" one's on the right.

These new one's on the left have a hard border (wire cut ?) ,where as my old one on the left is soft.

Well that stinks, I just bought some on Memorial day per all the glowing reviews.. Will need to inspect when I get home.
 
If they are coming with hard edges now that is very unfortunate. I recommended these towels to a lot of people... Looks like the towels I recommended are not the same as the ones that are currently available.

Corey,it's from your recommendation I placed my first order for these Sonus Edgeless.They are actually my favorite edgeless with Pak's white close behind.
These new (looks like hot wire cut) Sonus edgeless will NOT be touching my paint.

First the AG Indgos and now the Sonus?

I was hoping Mark's (and others) were an isolated incident!

Thanks Chris, Well, I'm glad you are a witness that the towels I recomended aren't these! However very sorry you and anybody else ended up with the these hard edge ones. :(

No need to be sorry,I think the issue is the quality control from the manufacturers.
 
Great post! I have a couple of the old indigo MF and love them. Was looking for their replacements and even had Sonus' in my shopping cart. Sad to see manufacturers cheapening out and ruining their products. I guess I'll be looking at the Mothers products now.

Some are saying that the hard edge towels are hot wire cut..I believe they are laser cut.
 
So I checked my order and, yes indeed they are hard edged.. bummer. However I ordered two of the two pack Sonus packages and only received one. AG fixed the situation within 30 seconds yesterday. :dblthumb2:

What I find intreresting as of 3:40 today they went from in warehouse to temporary manufacturer backorder. I wonder if they are investigating this situation? Either way I will call in the AM and switch them out with another microfiber.. any quick suggestions? are the white cobra polishing ones good?

Before the edging issue, why did you prefer them over the pakshaks?

Oh just checked the store, doesn't seem like they're on backorder at the moment.
 
Wow!! Thanks for all the replies!! (Kindof feels good to start a thread and have several responses)
Even though the Sonus have an edge, as hard as I rubbed a disc with the edge, I couldn't get it to scratch. After rubbing pretty hard about 6 or 7 times repeatidly, I did get some very light scratches (but I can guarantee any towel will do this)

It may be that the older Korean made ones are the true edgeless and the China ones have this cut. Kindod hard to explain, but its a failry soft cut.

Does anyone have a couple of new Arctics or Indigos they'd be willing to part with for the right price (original ones of course)??

Initially they're ok, but I've found them to not stay soft like the old school cobra indigos.
