Here is a 2000 Corvette I detailed last weekend. It was a monster.

Get comfy...This one is 14 min long.

Something went wrong when I saved the video after editing. The first video goes blank about 11 min in, but I uploaded all of the blank content on a second video. Just close the first vid when it goes black and open the 2nd vid.

I was there for some of day one and all of day two. A LOT of work went in to this car. Honestly, this video does not do it justice. I am glad I could lend a hand with it.
 
Nice! What products did you use after the wet sanding?

I ask cause I was thinking of getting a storage unit for my products (running out of space at home) - But this looks like it works well for you - being mobile is tough on corrections without the customer having a garage and mother nature slappin you around..... one last question - how much for the unit a month?!?!?!?!

Removing the sanding scratches was Premium Finish Care Avenger wool pads on my Makita rotary and M105.

The compounding was with the rotary and orange 6.5" LC pads

The polishing was with white 5.5" LC pads and my Griots Garage d/a as well as M.P. Cobra Fans PCXP.

You used M105 for compounding and polishing?

Interesting that a re-paint had a hard clear coat. It's seems to be soft more often on re-paints.
 
M205 was used for polishing. I guess he forgot to add that.

M205 for the polishing process.

That is generally my experience with repaints as well, but this repaint was rock hard.

when i did my car I found out how hard holden (gm) paint can be so I feel for you
 
It never ceases to amaze me the extent one will go to ruin a finish!! :awman:

You should have seen it in person! My jaw hit the ground when I got there. The work that went in to fixing it was amazing.
