Favorite Car Wash

I think Mark doesn't like gloss enhancing products, which (besides the insane dilution) may play an important factor as to why BTBM is his favorite. I'm I hitting this right Mark? I don't want to be putting words into your mouth.
You got it, Ted. On top of that, it has good lubricity, cleans good, and smells good!!!

On the topic of car wash products, you can use the best car wash ever, but if you don't mix it properly, it's worthless.

A few years back, I used to be guilty of dumping the soap in the bucket fist, then hit it with a strong stream. Wrong! I would end up with nothing but suds. Now, I fill the bucket up with water first, then add soap, aggressively swish around with my grit guard, hit it with the pressure washer for one second, and viola!!!!!!!!!!!! :dblthumb2:

I like Wolfgang Auto Bathe, however, I'm a huge fan of the Wolfgang line and I like to stay within the family of products I use on a particular vehicle. If I use Meguiar's wax and products on a car, I will wash with Meguiar's.

Favorite maintenance wash-Dodo's B2BM
Favorite Strip wash-CG's Citrus
Favorite foam gun wash-DP Extreme
Favorite regular wash-Adams/CG's Maxi Suds
favorite Gloss wash- Dodo's Sour Power/CG's Glossworkz

There are just some many good one's out there in each category.

A couple I want to try that I've heard good things about:
DG and OPT

I do the same (unless I'm doing a review for AGO). I'm not a huge fan of un-Godly amount's of suds. Suds are a waste of soap, IMO...

OCD?
I like their Gold Class Carnauba... good stuff. However, I have found #845 to have a bit more shine...

Personally, (and I could be totally off base here), I feel as if the products are all working together if I stick with the same family of products. It won't cause any "cross contamination" (if you will) and will create the best possible combination for my vehicle.

I think as far as over the counter products go, Meguiar's is definitely a good bargain for the product. If I'm not using Wolfgang, my go to OTC are Meguiar's and Surf City Garage (really nice product).

I'm adding some to the list right now! Feel free to chime in!

Also, when it says only 1 oz to wash your car I double it. This 1 oz to wash your car and not 1 oz per X gallons really annoy me and are dumb.

I did at first, but then people said there is not way you only use 1 oz of soap for 4 gallons.. so I don't know now..

Gotta agree with D!
Tried Sour Power today. Worked very well and smelled like Green Apples! Next up is Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss. Then Supernatural
I've been saying this for awhile now, Dodo makes the best car wash soaps, overall.

BTBM
Supernatural
Wax Safe Wash
Sour Pour

ALL great!!!

I tried pinnacle recently after using Dodo for awhile. Pinnacle did not impress me.

Here is the new list, if there is any problems please let me know. I know some people like putting more/less product per ounce so I don't know what to do there. I also can't find how much per oz per gallon for Griot's Garage Wash.

I also don't know how to make the image bigger, it seems Photobucket re sizes my pictures!

Thanks! :xyxthumbs:

Hands down my favorite would have to be Duragloss #901/902/903.

Great shine ,excellent lubricity, and long lasting foam from start to finish of the wash.

Works great in Gilmour foam guns as well.
Based on the charts it's also one of the least costly per wash.

Just a great car wash soap which can be had OTC at most Fisher Auto Parts,Carquest, and some NAPA stores and if not available at these store ships direct from Duragloss for $5.00 no matter what size the order.

Griots is also very nice (although more costly than Duragloss) and Meguiars Gold Class and Gliptone Wash N' Glow are others that I used and really like.

Surf City Pacific Blue Wash & Wax yet another great choice!

I always go back to the Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo. Smells great, good lubrication and rinses well.

Best deal is the Meguiars Gold Class. Best shine is the Swissvax Car Bath but cleaning power is near zero. That's why I always go back to the Pinnacle one. Best balance and overall performance.

I think the pinnacle is way over priced. I found that I had to use 3oz per wash. And at $25 bucks for a 16 oz bottle Thats about $5 a wash. And it didn't perform ad well as many other washes on the market IMO. Perhaps a gallon on BOGO may be more cost effective but I personally am not a fan of it.

Yeah pretty much all Pinnacle products are way overpriced but $25 for so little car wash soap is just crazy.

Yea, I think so as well.

I have everything in a Database now so if you want to display something from least to greatest etc just ask!

I can't attach it since they only allow pictures...

Maximus,
as per Griot's magazine: "With our super-concentrated Car Wash, you only need 1-2 ounces to wash an entire vehicle."
