What did you work on today?

Made myself some breakfast (I only do breakfast on the weekends, and I gotta admit, I make some darn good scrambled eggs!), watched some Hogan's Heroes, walked dogs at the shelter, came home, played around on the computer and the forum for a bit, watched some more Hogan's Heroes, and now, here I sit. Pretty good day, really. I was going to do a couple of maintenance washes but never "got around to it." Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

Worked on my daughrer-in-law's 06 Ion. Pulled seats, clean and extract carpet, APC interior, Klasse protectant. Wash, clay, Klasse all in one and a coat of Collinite 845. Ultima trim and tire on exterior plastic and tires. Exhausted...must....have...Crown....Royal.

Full in and out detail on a 2005 Honda Pilot. Wax too! So glad I bought that GG DA

Mike did a post like this sometime ago, I was wanting to bring it back.

Thank you.

A few years ago on MOL I started threads like this because I figured our forum members are always working on something but might not have the time or inclination to start a dedicated thread with a lengthy write-up.

I figured they would however chime in on a general, "open thread" with a comment or two and maybe even a picture to show the project in their garage or driveway

It's a good idea, lets go with it...

Over the weekend I did some boat polishing but I also did some boat maintenance like replacing a worn out selinoid...

Old Solenoid If it's the original then it's 44 years old

Did a 1-step correction on a Honda Accord yesterday. Have a VW Jetta for a detail tonight, Custom Fatboy for tomorrow night, a 66 Corvette for Wed, and a Chevy Dually for Thursday!

Looks great Mike. Now if you are ever lost at sea the Coast Guard will have no trouble finding that ride. Nicely done!

Planned on doing nothing but an 07 Accord showed up for a wash. I did a full correction and Opti-Coat on this thing a few weeks ago and now its covered with some kind of over spray. I was nice and clayed it all off at no additional charge.

Did you ask your client if the car has been in a body shop since application? The body shop should be made aware of the coating.

Worked on step-daughter's blue Equinox, clayed, used SSR-1 to remove/hide a few scuff marks (99% success), waxed with Megs Gold class paste, power washed floor mats, cleaned and treated leather seats with Lexol, dash, door panels and tires with 303, chrome wheels with Black Magic Titanium, windows with IPA/water (for water spots) and Stoners, plastic cladding with Megs Ultimate, then had several gimlets and admired the work while waiting for the washer to do the mf and pads.

She was VERY pleased, said her hubby was jealous of the way it turned out. (He usually does it, but has been 'too busy'.

Then went a VFW class for new officers on Sunday, took in the veterans memorial in that town with the comrades who went with (very impressive), came home and fell asleep trying to watch tv. I just don't have the stamina I used to, lol.

2006 Dodge Ram Hemi. Washed and played around with some Zaino Z5 to see how it would look on a few panels. Topped with Z8.

White GMC Acadia. Wash with dawn, clay with Finish Kare (love this stuff) as a lube, Poorboys White Diamond glaze and seal with Menzerna Power lock.

Today... is day 1 of not smoking.
Good luck Kaleb! I quit smoking 3 years ago after smoking 1-2 packs a day for 6 years. Best thing I ever did for my health. I feel so much better now. Not getting winded walking up stairs, being able to breath in the morning. Its great!

Worked on regular customers rides today - kind of a slow day..... done by noon :(

Went to work today. I work part time as a waiter at a retirement home. Slow day :)

When I got home, found out I have two cars lined up for me in the coming weeks. Possibly three, if the first two come out nice.

AIO on an '06 Accord... sap, bird bombs and horizontal surfaces peppered with dings from acorns. The guy doesn't have anyplace else to park it other than under an oak tree. Topped with a quickie coat of 845 to hopefully make it easier next time. Don't think it'll offer much protection from the acorns.
