Car Soap, I'm running out, but can't decide

I haven't experimented much with other car soaps, but have been very happy with Meguiars Gold Class. I picked up the 128 oz. jug at Costco for $11. Can't really beat that, IMO.

I have a gallon jug and 2 smaller bottles laying around that are hard for me to use any more. After using Sour Power it's hard to use anything else! Although I do love the gold class, so cheap for a great product!

I really like DP Auto Bath in my buckets (with a drop of DP Rinseless Wash added) and DP Xtreme Foam in my Foam Cannon.

FWIW, I haven't used any DP product since the label change from the old white "Detailers Pride" to the new black "Detailers Pro Series" (I'm too well-stocked and busy with work to justify buying any more products) I assume that the Auto Bath is still the same stuff, luxurious feel and scent.

DP frequents the BOGO page. I would wait for 32oz DP Auto bath to go on, then buy 2. That way you get a gallons worth, I did.

Optimum, Griots, Poorboys and Duragloss are among my favorites.

Gold Class is good and be found at Walmart if you can get past the smell.
Duragloss or DP Extreme Foam are good choices that you can get from AG.

I have a gallon of the Optimum Car Wash and after using it several dozen times have now moved it to a wheel wash. It leaves a ton of streaking behind no matter how much I rinse it.

Wow, I've never heard that before with optimum.

I'm a fan of every other Optimum product I've tried, which is why I was surprised to get the results I did with it.

I only wash in complete shade, I've tried using less than the recommended amount, I've mixed it with ONR, I've rinsed after just doing a couple panels instead of waiting to do the entire car. Nothing helped, it also didn't seem to clean as well as most other car washes.

Bad batch perhaps??

I agree with Mark. I have a black car and use Optimum car wash and haven't had any issues. I do put a little ONR in also. I have been happy with Optimum.

I have not had any real issue but I do use a 1/2 oz per gallon which is 1/2 what the labels says. I do think think it is as quick rinsing as some soaps but not a real negative where it is an issue.

There are a lot of good soaps. I think a lot of personal choice is smell and how much suds you like. I do think I like the sudsier ones with wool mitts. When I use a mf dreadlock, I do not experience much difference between soaps.

Optimum has a nice smell, on the affordable side of cost compared to others, nice in a foam gun, and no rinsing. I do not think it leaves much added gloss so if you are more after added shine, there are others.

BTW Nice new pic Mark. How about some new pic of your pressure washer. I gots to know more about it.

Just got some too. I think it was $8 and change though

1/2oz per gallon is the proper dilution ratio as per Dr G. The label is actually a misprint from what he says. I have never had a problem with Optimum rinsing...actually I find it to be the easiest rinsing shampoo out of the dozens I have tried.
