This stuff is truly interesting!

It was hot here today and when I opened Tyromania for the first time, it was a liquid mess! It was very runny, and when I pulled out the applicator, half of the product was stuck to it. It got all over my hands, and I had to be very careful not to stain anything. Not a good first impression! I let it sit for awhile in room temp, and it thickened up a bit, but was still very messy! When I washed my hands, it almost felt as if I had a sealant on my hands. My skin repelled water big time and it wasn't easy to wash this stuff off! Good for the tire, bad for me! I emailed Dom and asked him if I can put Tyromania in the refrigerator! Once I salvaged as much of the product from the applicator back into the tub, I applied it as I would any tire dressing and foam applicator. It applied rather evenly. I then let it dry. Let me tell you, when Dodo states it has a natural look, yes, it is NATURAL!!! This is the only tire dressing I've used that DOES NOT have any sheen when the sun hits the narrow ribbing on the whole face of my tire! :dblthumb2: Tyromania darkens the tire(not heavily) and gives it a true "new" look, a fresh look. Very matte! For those who like some sheen, this is NOT the tire dressing for you! I, however, LOVEEEEEEE it(minus the mess it can be).

Here's a couple pics. I'll add more detailed ones soon....

Dodo Juice Tyromania after 1 coat....fully dried.

Tyromania after 2 coats...not fully dried. It dried a bit lighter.

DP Gloss Tire Gel...way too much sheen for me

Nice! :xyxthumbs: Thank you!

Is it like paste wax?
Thanks.

I think it would be like a paste wax if I put it in the refrigerator. In it's current form, it's way watery than a paste wax! When I first opened it, I could pour it out of the tub with ease. Temperature plays a huge part of the consistency of this product.

I cannot wait to get it. Thanks for the review!
:dblthumb2:

I'm not sure how popular this stuff will be considering there's not a drastic change in appearance after it's applied, but I love the fresh, low key look.

I think I will love the look. Not really into the sheen look. This will match the theme of my ride. Flat black!

Cane, I think you're gonna like it!

Current look. It's about 80 degrees in the house right now

When I had it outside in the heat this afternoon, it turned to the viscosity of motor oil!

That almost looks like you could put it in a squeeze bottle and it'd be easier to work with. I thought it was suppose to be a hard paste.

That's a great idea! :props: I didn't think about that! I'll let it sit in the sun for a bit to thin it out, then pour it into a squeeze bottle! :dblthumb2: It thins or thickens depending on temperature, but I don't see it getting as hard as a paste wax, unless put in the freezer!

No problem. :props: I just hope that no one orders this and it sits in the sun all day before they get home lol. That could be a disaster if they opened it thinking that it was a paste.

Forgot to add, the directions state for those that want a satin finish(as opposed to matte), apply and let dry. Then buff with a water spray and short pile microfiber towel. I have not tried this.

Hey Mark,

Nice review on the tire treatment! :props:

What a huge difference between the two products! Dodo Juice leaves the tire looking great and more of a new tire look while the DP product makes the tire look almost plastic...

Looks like I'll be contributing to more expansion down there...

Thanks for posting the photos Mark! :props:

I can agree this stuff gets messy if hot!! Very nice finish though for those not wanting a greasy finish.

does it stain your hands ??? Griots makes a weatherproof dressing in the same look but it got a dye in it.

It doesn't stain them permanately, but it's not easy to wash off!

Dom said I ciould throw it in the refrigerator, but it's just gonna get hot again and melt to a liquid. I'm gonna let it get hot and throw it in an AG squeeze bottle like mentioned in an earlier post. I think that's a great idea and will really cut down on the mess!

LOVE the look of this stuff.
