Dodo Juice Tyromania Impressions.....

I don't get it either...once I saw it was black and messy...who needs that? To wind up with a tire that doesn't look dressed? Reminds me of a hundred years ago when you could buy a can of "tire black" that was basically some liquid black dye...

Have you seen the spray on mud available in the UK? It's for city drivers who want their truck/SUV to look like it's been off-road.

Thanks for the review Mark, I've been wondering about this product. :xyxthumbs:

For me, it still makes the tire look better than when it's stripped. It darkens the tire and adds a tiny bit of sheen. Much better than DP that makes MY tires look like a shiny, greasy mess.

Fair enough.

No, I was unaware of that. The tire black was back before silicones like Armor All were really around. To my mind a dressing that's black and messy is just a step backward from where we are all heading for easier maintenance, you know, semi-permanent coatings for paint and trim, WOWA sealants, and non-silicone (at least non-PDMS) dressings like WETS, UTTG, and Tuf Shine. But just because I don't get it doesn't mean it isn't a great product, to each their own. I haven't used my WETS on tires yet, but wasn't it fairly matte in Corey's review?

Nice review Mark.

I'm just like you, I don't like that shine on a tire. I like the look of new, or just a bit of shean to give than new appearance. That's all I want. I get good results by just doing a weekly cleaning as you do. However, I've noticed some tires can fade somewhat.

Some seem concerned with longevity. I'm more concerned with it leaving a brown stain eventually, like most of the OTC products today. Of course, I'm not talking about DP, WG, or UTTG, as I haven't used them.

That mess you got at first sort of turns me off, especially if later you get that brown crud. If you don't get the brown slime later, then I may interested in this as well. Otherwise, I'll keep cleaning with Westley's.

The product does have a nice look though. How many miles on those tires? I already know they've been taken care of.
