is there a difference in the Cutting/Polishing Megs MF DA

my order is in and ..... the MF nap appears to be the same! or is it just me?!?!?!?!?
granted the maroon stiffer pad is for cutting and the thicker grey pad for polishing but is the MF different!?!?!?!? It doesnt appear to be the case

I believe the microfiber is the same, but the stiffness of the pads is what changes how it cuts.
 
It looks to me it's about the backing pad and the product it's self. I'm sure you would want to keep dedicated pads for the different products anyway even if they were the same.
 
Michael Stoops from Meg's told me the fibers are different. They sure do look and feel exactly the same, though.

I thought they are the same fibers as well although with this system being in R&D for several years I would imagine that fibers are different even though then look and feel the same. And with Stoops pointing out they are different I believe it now.
